Lylah James is a new to me author - and the Mafia and his Angel books seemed right up my alley so I decided to give them a go.
Ayla is running from her past- but she ended up right in the enemy's home. Now she is walking a thin lie just to survive.
Alessio is a mafia boss- a ruthless killer, who is feared by all. So why is it Shen he finds Ayla instead of killing her on the spot, he let's her live?
Can these two help one another out, or will their pasts haunt them both?
This book does have trigger topics- Rape, PTSD, Depression, Suicide Attempts and Self Harm - which was a little hard for me to read through being through similar situations myself.
Overall I did enjoy the book. I was fascinated with the characters and wanted to find out more about them. The story line was interesting, and I can't wait to read the next book in the series to find out what happens next. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.
