Review: Queen Of Quarantine

Title: Queen of Quarantine

Series: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep

Authors: Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Release Date: February 2021

Once upon a time I met four monsters and thought the world would come to an end at their hands.

But I was a fool.

Because I didn’t understand the bigger picture.

That the enemies I thought I knew would become the reason for my entire existence. My strength. My pain. My life. My love.

The big bad wolf has teeth and claws as sharp as iron, and the danger before my eyes is blinding. So blinding that I didn’t see the true danger lurking in the dark.

But now my eyes are wide open and I see it all.

Alone and afraid and running out of time, I’m not afraid of monsters anymore.

I’m counting on them to come for me.

Because if they don’t, this foolish girl might be lost forever in the dark.

Wow. I can't believe these books are over. I am definitely going to miss these characters .. this story...

This book is the fourth and final book in the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep series, and you MUST read the first three books before this one, because it is a continuation of the story and picks up where book 3 left off.

Trigger Warning: it is a dark bully RH romance with violence, abuse & other topics that may trigger going in, so be prepared.

Tatum is alone, and currently running out of time. She has to count on the cruel boys with monsters beneath their skin to come save her before it's too late, and she is lost forever. The cruel boys who were once her enemies and tormentors, now are the reason for her existence. Her pain and strength, her life and her love. But will they be able to get to her in time? The creatures of the night, searching for their Queen.

I have loved these books, these characters, this story, and it will stay with me for awhile. And I am sad that it has come to an end but cannot wait to grab them up in paperback to be able to reread them again, and again.

Tatum was strong, and resilent- taming her monsters. She loved each of them equally, and for different reasons. She was Saint's chaos in his need for control, was Kyan's partner in crime for him to burn the world down with, was There for Nash and Blake in their grief and search for Vengeance. She was exactly what each of the guys needed. And she needs each of her Night Keepers as well.

Nash has been fitting in better with the Night Keepers. He is still on the path for revenge, but it isn't the only thing he lives for anymore, now that he has Tatum and his brothers by his side.

Blake is still grief striken over his loss, but his golden personality is starting to shine through more and more each day, his darkness also growing too.

Kyan is vicious, brutal and savage. He needs Tatum to keep him grounded, and without her, him and the rest of the Night Keepers will subcomb to the darkness within.

Saint still needs control but with Tatum it isn't as bad. She helps calm him when he needs it. He has been my favorite since book one. He is cruel and wicked but there is more to him then

But none of them are anything without Tatum. She makes them more of who they are, and binds them all together and without her in their lives they would fall apart.

I loved these books, and cannot believe they are over. The banter, the story, their love and family and the sex. The sex ramps up in this book going from 3 and 4 some to Tatum with her whole Harem of men. On top of the sex, the danger ramps up to. All the troubles Tatum and the Night Keepers were up against comes to a head, and they have to face it all at once. It was the perfect ending to a great series. And I am going to miss these characters who have embedded themselves in my heart, after being completely obsessed with them and these books for the past few days, I am now feeling lost without them.

4.5 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

Review: King's of Anarchy

Title: King's of Anarchy
Series: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep
Authors: Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Continue the series with book 3 of the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep!

My father always taught me to take care of myself.

He made me strong, cunning and calculating.

But my Brutal Boys made me unbreakable.

Have you ever heard the saying that it takes one to know one? Because from the very first moment I met the men I've claimed as my tribe, I knew that I was looking into the faces of monsters. And that really should have been all it took for me to know that I was one too.

Hiding beneath my skin isn’t an innocent girl, waiting for someone to ride in on a white horse and rescue me from my demons. So I think it’s time I showed the world my claws.

I’m sick of people thinking they own me. My Night Keepers and now the members of this twisted club all need to learn a lesson in that.

I’m not a doll made to dance to their tune, I’m not a puppet intended to play a part and I’m certainly no plaything to be used and destroyed. I’m a warrior with a goal of my own. And everyone who wants to stand in my way had better get used to the idea of falling to ruin at my feet.

When everything you thought you could rely on is ripped away from you, you have no choice but to find out what you’re truly made of. And deep down in the depths of my soul, I know that I was made to survive.

I have suffered through torment, fought against my oppressors and tamed the creatures who tried to bury me in the dark.

It’s time that everyone stopped underestimating me.

I’m done being a queen without a crown.

I’m ready for my coronation.

This is a high school bully romance series. Start with book 1 Kings of Quarantine.

What? What the what?! I knew the end was coming, I knew something was going to happen, but I wasn't expecting that and I cannot wait to dive into the 4th book!!!
Firstly, this is book 3 in the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep- you Must Read King's of Quarantine for anything to make sense.
Second, Trigger Warning: this is a DARK bully RH slow-burn romance. So be warned going into these books, they aren't for everyone.

After everything Tatum has been through with her Night Keepers, she no longer is seeking revenge, but may be falling for each of her boys for different reasons, but she is still wary of Saint, since he was the cruelest of them all. But there is no rest for the wicked, and danger is closing in on Tatum and all of her Night Keepers. With the Hades Virus hits a little too close to home, and the stalker has up their game and is now out for blood and that's not even the worst of the threats lurking for the Night Keepers. Can they keep her safe, or will it all be for nothing?

I am still absolutely in love with these characters, and this story and cannot wait to find out how it wraps up and ends after the wild ride of book 3.
Tatum is still strong and fierce and backs down from no one, not even her stalker. But she is dealing with the grief of losing a loved one, and has come to not only rely on, but take comfort in her Night Keepers.
Kyan is loyal, protective and down for just about anything. Finally giving into his desire for Tatum amongst the madness of their lives.
Blake is still learning to cope with his grief of losing his mom, and taking risks to get his andreniline pumping to distract him from facing his demons.
Monroe and Tatum crossed that line and now there is no going back. But neither want to. He just has to cope with his jealousy over Tatum's relationship with the other guys.
Saint is on the mend, but still just as insufferable (and absolutely still my favorite). He tries to keep his distance, and keep control and order in his life, but if there is one thing that he knows, is that life is made up of chaos.
Can Tatum really be falling for all four men? Her captures and her saviors?
Let me tell you these books have been a delicious, sweet, tortuous slow burn. And there is more than just one scene that is hot in this book! From an MFM scene to a M-F-M-M scene you can't go wrong!
And I loved seeing and learning more about each of the characters while following along with their story.
And yes, Saint has been my favorite since book one. I usually am attracted to the most broken guy. I fell in love with Saint, long before he had any redeemable qualities and don't regret it yet. 😂😂 But that being said each of the guys brings something different and all are adored!
Hold onto your 🦑 bc you're in for one heck of a ride! 4.5 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

Review: King's of Lockdown

Title: King's of Lockdown

Series: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep

Authors: Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Release Date: June 2020

The sex tape

The fish stew

The Unspeakables

The storm

The font

The bathtub

The ice

The gun

The clothes

The humiliation

The shower

The letters

THE VOW

I had my chance to run from these brutal boys and I didn’t take it. The bonds between us are too strong now. Bonds of blood, oaths, betrayal and vengeance. And I intend to make good on all of them. I’ve made my list. And I won’t stop until each and every one of their crimes has been paid for.

Divide and conquer. We’re going to tear them apart from the inside out. I won’t quit until I’ve had my pound of flesh and then some. These broken boys paint themselves up as kings and stand themselves on a pedestal above everybody else. But that only means they’ve got further to fall. And they’re going to fall hard.

I know their strength now, but I’ve learned their weaknesses too. And I might just be becoming their greatest one. My father taught me how to survive, and it’s time to use everything I know about predators to lure them into my own trap.

Lies, betrayal, seduction. I’ll use every weapon at my disposal to bring them to their knees and once I’m done with them, they won’t own me.

I’ll own them.

This is book 2 in a dark romance series with love-hate themes, scenes of intense bullying, sexual scenes and may have triggers for some readers. It is a reverse harem which means the main character will end up with multiple partners.

Oh my goodness! Ohmygoodnessohmygoodnessohmygoodness!!!! I am trying to get my thoughts in order after reading book 2 in the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep series. I'm at a loss. I need to grab book 3 and dive in immediately to find out what the heck happens next. Because I absolutely need to know!!!!

So first let me say, there ARE triggers. There is bully, violence, stalking, and murder. It IS a dark romance, and is leading up to a reverse harem relationship between multiple characters. So if none of that is your thing, turn away from this series.

King's of Lockdown pick up where King's of Quarantine left off (which means you HAVE to read book 1 before diving into book 2!). We dig a little deeper into Tatum's life with the Night Keepers, her vow to be theirs, digging deeper, and interning their lives together- and becoming their vow to be hers, even if none of them know it yet.

Tatum vows to take her revenge on the savage men who set out to destroy her, taking them down one by one, weaving her web and ensnaring them into her traps. But, is she falling for her captures, peering behind their masks of cruelty?

And with the lockdown and the virus running rampant throughout the world, Everlake Prep should be a safe haven for everyone present. But new threats arise in the midst of it all, and danger bigger then the Night Keepers lurks in the darkness. Will they be able to keep her safe through it all?

This book, these characters have entrapped me into their lives, their drama. I am fully invested wanting more of their stories more of THEM, ALL of THEM.

Tatum is strong, resilent, and doesn't let anything break her. When the Night Keepers tried to break her, and keep her down, she came up swinging harder then ever, with plans of her own, to seek revenge on them all.

Monroe is still Tatum's ally through it all, helping her when he can to be able to seek his own revenge. But something between them has shifted more than just Teacher-Student, but that is one line that he refuses to cross.

Blake is still struck with heavy grief through it all but his original personality shines through every now and then. He isn't as cruel or hateful towards Tatum as he once was, but he is still selfish and won't let her leave.

Kyan is still ruthless and violent and vicious. His bloodlust knows no bounds, and right now he has secrets of his own- and pushing Tatum away, keeping her at arm's length.

Saint is still cruel and cold, but has Tatum finally gotten through some of his defenses and showing her signs of something more human? Or will he always be the most monsterous of the beasts that she dwells with every night?

We dive deeper into each of the characters, learning more about each as the time goes on. Kyan may have earned some way towards forgiveness, but is keeping a huge secret- not just from Tatum but his brothers as well. Blake is the closest to being forgiven for his crimes, and the most human of them all, but also still lost in his grief. Monroe is torn on his seek for revenge and on his new-found roles. Torn on keeping his friendship with Tatum, pushing her away, or pulling her closer. And Saint is battling his need for control in a world that is made up of chaos (and still happens to be my favorite among the bunch). I cannot wait to read more of these brutal boys and find out what happens next. 4.5 ⭐ out of 5⭐.

Review: The King's Of Quarantine

Title: King's Of Quarantine

Series: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep

Authors: Caroline Beckham & Susanne Valenti

Release Date: April 2020

Cruel. Heartless. Quarantined.
The ruthless boys of Everlake Prep never saw lockdown coming.
But the virus isn’t their number one enemy.

I am.

And as if being confined to a boarding school for the elite wasn’t bad enough, now I’m stuck in isolation with the boys who hate me most too.

Saint, Kyan and Blake. The Night Keepers. Or so they call themselves. They’ve embodied the Native American legend which lives in this valley, taking on the role of the monsters who lurk in the forest. And though they act like beasts, they may also bethe most tempting creatures I’ve ever seen.

With the virus escalating and my dad’s name splashed through the news, my entire world is falling apart. What he did has cast a dark shadow over me. And the Night Keepers want to make me pay for his crimes.

Then things went from bad to worse when I touched the sacred rock. A rock which supposedly holds a curse to bind me as the Night Keepers’ slave. And as crazy as it sounds, I decided to play along. Because there are things about me they don’t know. Things my dad has hidden from me for years. All I can be sure of is that I have to find a way to escape this school. But until then, those savage boys are making my life a living hell.

As the virus sweeps through the country and the world twists into something ugly and unknown, the kings of this school become true monarchs. Even the teachers bow to them now. And I’m kinda glad about that ‘stay six feet away from one another’ rule, because without it, I know they’d rip me apart.

At least there’s a silver lining. I’m cosying up to Coach Monroe. My hot as hell, brooding P.E. teacher who has a vendetta of his own against the Night Keepers. And with his help, I may succeed at doing more than escaping the clutches of these heartless fiends. I might even destroy them along the way.

My father taught me how to be strong.

How to prepare for the end of the world.

So this isn’t going to be the end of my world, mark my words.

But if I’m able to use my mind and body to bring these assholes to their knees, it might just be the end of theirs.

This is a high school bully RH series with off the charts angst, dark themes and is not for the faint of heart. Prepare to enrol at Everlake Prep. Bring your hand sanitiser, face masks and toilet paper to barter with, but don’t expect to hold onto them for long. Because it’s time to go into quarantine with the Night Keepers. And everything you own now belongs to them.

So let me just say I absolutely love bully romance. Give me the most irredeemable jerk known to man. I live for it! And this is the start of an RH. There is SOME sexual encounters throughout this book, BUT it is mostly building up tension between the characters and drama of prep school life.

Tatem Rivers starts at a new prep school. After living her whole life on the road, her father decided to let her have a normal senior year, sending her to one of the most elite, and remote schools in the country. A school where she meets the three kings who run the place- Saint, Kyan, and Blake- and if she doesn't fall in line, she stands to face their wrath. But Tatem believes she can handle herself against the three rich boys.

After her initiation, everything was going well, until news broke about the virus wrecking havoc on the world only getting worse, and for everyone to quarantine in place. But when Tatem's father is accused of starting the virus, she went from skating by, to living in hell. The only way to survive is to give herself over to the ruthless boys who fun the school. They are cruel, headless, and Savage and will do anything to break Tatem. The only solstice she has is with her p.e. teacher Monroe.

Tatem was taught how to survive, and prepare for the end of the world, but will it be enough to survive being quarantined with the Night Keepers of Everlake Prep?

* Trigger Warning: This book is dark. Bullying, abuse, attempted murder and even attempted rape (not by the main male characters but to the main female character).

For the most part I really enjoyed this book. I love bully and dark romance and have dabbled with RH books and liked those too.

One of the things I was unsure about was the Native American lore throughout, being Native myself. It wasn't nesassarily bad, per say. For the natives land to be stolen only for them (at Everlake Prep) to then steal & use the legends to their gain also. And to use body paints and refer to themselves as savages. I get it, they are savage, ruthless, cruel and heartless (& were also drunk at the time) but to use the term savage when referring to themselves wearing the body paint going all out on the Native legends... That's a bit low.

Otherwise, I did enjoy the book, and will keep reading this series.

Tatem was a blonde bombshell, but was more than just her looks. She was strong, fought back, and held her own against the Night Keepers.

Monroe was a p.e. teacher who had a plan to get back at the night keepers, and needed Tatem to help execute his plan. He was only a few years older than the students, good looking and there was something there between Tatem & him, even if neither acted on it, yet.

Kyan was all muscle. Part of the football team, and loved illegal fighting. So far he is the only one (out of the night keepers) who redeemed himself, by being... Not decent but not completely horrible either. He lives his life to rile up Saint, and to fight, always chasing the andreniline it brings.

Blake is the playboy. He can get any girl he wants on campus. He's charming when he wants to be, but also living his life on the verge of imploding through a world of grief and pain.

Saint is the most cold, cruel, and ruthless of them all. He needs to have complete control of everything at all times. But he doesn't care about anything or anyone, unless it suits him. He will cut you down with a look alone. So of course, he's my favorite and I can't wait to see what more comes from him.

If you are looking for your next dark bully romance then try the King's of Quarantine. It isn't my absolute favorite but it was good and I enjoyed it, and cannot wait to see more of the boys of Everlake Prep. 4 ⭐ out of 5⭐.

Review: Sicko

Title: Sicko

Author: Amo Jones

Release Date: September 2020

He was my foster brother.

He swore to protect me.

He failed.

They all failed.

I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left six years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.

But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad boy, rich brat that I hated to love.

He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.

He answers to Sicko.

Wow. Where do I even begin with this book?

Ok, so Jade and Royce are foster siblings. Royce was overprotective of his younger sister, and would do anything to protect her- even if that anything means leaving town. Now years later, what was once Jade's cute brother that she grew up having a crush on, is the vice president of a MC and answers to Sicko, is back in her life, to do what he can to protect his little sister... But it might be too late for Jade.

So first let me say this book is Dark with trigger warnings. If you are looking for a cute romance this ain't it. -It does feature rape and sexual abuse, so be warned.

Jade was fierce, growing up from a fun loving girl with a loving and protective older brother and his friends to someone who is badass, helping those she could around her and going to school in the medical field. Going away to college she thought she could get away from the evil that lurked in the night, but it followed her anyways.

Royce was the guy who had it all. Rich, gets anything he ever wants, has the looks and girls, and a younger sister he loves with everything in him. So when her life is threatened he does the one thing he thinks to do to try and keep her safe- he leaves. He comes back, years later, stronger and more powerful then ever; but now, what they once loved- each other- brings them hate. And Royce has his eyes trained on Jade and what Royce wants... Royce gets.

This book was loaded down with angst and the foster siblings romance but it was dark, and if you have triggers to either go in prepared or skip this one.

But I enjoyed this book. I loved the romance between Royce and Jade. And I felt for Jade and all she had been through. If you love MC romances then I recommend Sicko. 4.5 forbidden ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.
