Book Tag: December Wrap Up

Hi everyone!!

Can you believe that December is over?! That 2019 is over?! Where has the year gone? The DECADE?!
How was everyone's December in books? How was your holidays if you celebrated? Get any bookish related gifts this year?
I got a stack of 12 books, plus a Nightmare Before Christmas Monopoly game, a book light and a air fryer and pressure cooker! So I will be reading and eating good coming into 2020! 😍😍

Sorry I haven't been as active this month. I am still in a book funk thanks to my depression and anxiety. My daughter caught a stomach bug from school and was out for three days giving it to us, plus of course the holidays were pretty hectic. And that isn't slowing down anytime soon with my birthday on the way (January 3rd) and my daughter's birthday couple weeks later... But I am trying to get into posting and reading more again.
I haven't read as much as I would have liked, this month but I have read 5 books which brings my total up to 89 books. I may not have hit my high goal of 100 books but I surpassed my low goal and am still proud of everything I have accomplished & found many favorites for the year! Book Tag: August Wrap Up

Hi everyone!!

Can you believe it is already September?! Where has summer gone? How was your August in books?

August was pretty crazy! Getting everything ready for our daughter's first day of school, including shopping and orientation. Had vacation at the beginning of the month, and a day trip at the end. I may not got in as much reading as I wanted, but I have loved everything I read this month! I read a total of 10 books this month-  bringing my total reading challenge up to 70 books out of the 20 I set for my goal! Yay! My high goal is for a 100 books, and I am well on my way towards it!

This book is a slow burn, friends to lovers angsty romance filled with more than this couple's fair share of drama. It also brought on the emotion!  The slow-burn was sweet torture to get through but so worth it in the end. These two were made for each other! Buckle up because it's one crazy ride! Review

It's a cute and nerdy gamer enemies to lovers romance. I laughed,  I swooned, I geeked out, and I fell in love with Scarlett and Kane's characters and this story. The nerd was strong with this one. If you love fun romances that bring on the funny, nerdy characters that are crazy relatable, red hot chemistry, and back and forth banter, then you need to pick up this book! Review

Just like the last book, I am reeling after finishing it! The secrets, lies, revelations, and so much more! I can't wait to see how she comes back fighting and stronger than ever after everything that's happened. Review

I fell so madly and deeply in love with this book, this story and these characters. They made me laugh, made me swoon, made me fall in love, made me cry, made my heart break, and stitched back together again. Luna and Knight's story wasn't perfect, but they were perfect for each other. This book was amazingly written, and brought on the feels. These characters, and this story was everything. And I'm still not over it. Review

Gah! I LOVED this book! It was dark and twisted! It was seriously dark and amazing. If you like being on the edge of your seat, and love the dark and twisted, this is the book for you! Review

I loved this book, and twist on Beauty and the Beast. If you love retellings, and fantasy novels about princes and strong female characters then you should definitely pick up a Curse So Dark and Lonely. Review

This book is about two teenagers who are just trying to live while dying. This book was heartbreakingly beautiful. It punched me right in the feels, and made me cry. But it made me laugh too. Styx and Stones were made for one another. I still have no words to describe this book. It was tragic, and sad, but still an amazing read. Review

A Strange Hymn is the perfect balance of Paranormal, fantasy and romance. It brings you into a whole new world, filled with Fae, and the characters that you fell in love with from Rhapsodic are now back, and facing off whole new challenges, and mysteries on top of trying to survive. Review

This novella is in Desmond's POV, and a lot of it is his life before he met Callie. How he became the Bargainer, how he became the King of Night and Emperor of Stars. This is Desmond's story, from his life in Arestys until the events of book 2- a Strange Hymn. Review

I couldn't get enough of Des and Callie's story. It seems that there had always been forced driving these two apart, every time they defeat the odds something else is gunning for them.
I'm sad this series is over after it consumed me over the past few days. It was spell binding and memorizing. It showed me that we are all more than what we went through, and the only things that define us our ourselves. I fell in love with Desmond's and Callypo's story and the magic within. Review

August was filled with so many great releases, and I added a ton of new books to my TBR as well!!
Besides  Tactical Heart, Broken Knight,  and If You Dare, some of the other books added include Evermore by B.B. Reid, and I Hate You by Ilsa Madden-mills.

What August releases have you added to your TBR? What was your favorite read of August? Let me know in the comments below!!

Book Tag: July Wrap Up

Hi everyone!!
Can you believe it is already August?! Where has the time gone? How was your July in books?
July was crazy, with being in a reading slump, going to the zoo, then going on vacation with a toddler... I hadn't had as much time to read as I wanted. August I have a ton of arcs that I signed up for, plus need to get stuff ready for my daughter to start school among a few other things so we will see how my reading goes for August! But I read a total of 12 books this month- four of which were in a box set- bringing my total reading challenge up to 60 books out of the 20 I set for my goal! Yay! My high goal is for a 100 books, and I am well on my way towards it!

Ace Bisset is a homicide detective- who takes all the weird, creepy and unexplained cases. Bodies drained of blood and missing bones? Right up her alley. She doesn't believe in magic, and always proves there is a logical explanation for it all. Until she inherits a house from an aunt she has never met. The house is impressive. The stone gargoyles are creepy. But at night? They come alive! Without any explanation- she has to face the fact that magic is real. And starring at her in the form of four hot fanged winged men. Throw in the fact that Ace is now in danger and has powers? She better believe, and quick if she's going to save herself, and her city and break an ancient but powerful curse. But it's just another day for Detective Ace Bisset. 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Level up follows Trey and Sasha. Trey is in his last year of collage, still living in Frat Hell with Denton and Becca, and Sasha- his hook up that he wants more with- takes the guest room when her apartment isn't livable for a month. Besides trying to make it to graduation without a major injury or an arrest record, Trey is trying to set up a career as a video game disigner- and get the girl. Will Trey be able to meet all his objectives and level up, or will he degenerate? 4⭐ out of 5⭐

Josie may know everything there is to know about baseball. But that doesn't mean she likes it. Or like Garrett- who is a player sidelined broadcasting the home games. When heconvinces Josie to help commentary their chemistry heats up in the booth. The back and forth, and banter. They are good together. After hating baseball for so long, Josie realizes that she may be starting to like the game again. And Garrett. Which could be a problem. When Garrett needs to decide on their future, or a second-chance at his dreams- Josie knows that baseball will win every time. 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

I was so in love with this title and blurb right from the moment I laid eyes on it, and just had to read it for myself!
Madison was in love with her best friend Theo for as long as she could remember. She's always wanted more from him. He was the Golden boy on campus, the star football player, and exactly who her parents would want her to end up with.
But then she met Easton. He was Theo's frat brother, older, and the teacher's assistant in Madison's English class- so very off limits. But knowing that does nothing to stop her from falling.

But, now that she noticed Easton, Theo began to notice her, leaving Madison torn between the two. Theo, her best friend, the guy her parents would approve of- the safe choice. Or Easton, the one she couldn't get off her mind, the one off limits, the one who made her feel alive for the first time, and the one who her parents would definitely not approve of, possibly risking it all. Both guys were as different as night was from day, but both had a piece of Madison's heart- but she could only choose one. Will Madison choose the Wrong Prince Charming? 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Where do I even begin with this book?
Silver was bullied at her school. After a night nine months ago, that she would do anything to forget her whole high school turned against her. Once one of the most popular girls in school, now an outcast she is just counting down the days until she can graduate and get the hell out of there. Until Alex shows up. She first sees him in the hallway with a social worker and police officer talking to the principal. Tattoos, motorcycle, everything about him screams trouble. Silver is like a ghost at her own school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't see Alex. They may be as different as oil and water, but they must take a leap of faith with one another. But after everything they have both been through, can they let the other one in? 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Charlie is dumped and lost her job all on the same day. When her friend rolls into town, her suggests heading back to work at camp for a few weeks. Her old stomping ground with her friends. She decides why not. She just wasn't ready for all the questions after shutting people out for years. Charlie doesn't get personal, doesn't get serious. She's all for cracking jokes, and having fun.
While at camp she meets Reese Forster. Only one of the Seattle Thunder basketball members- and she's a huge fan. After getting off on an awkward foot, they slowly become friends. And then more. They both have baggage, and are from different worlds. There isn't anyway this won't end in a diaster. 5⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

I don't even know where to begin with this book- but I definitely needed it. It is book 3 in the Thorne Hill series and YES you do need to read book 1 & 2 first.
This book follows Callie- who is a powerful witch - immediately after the events of book 2, of Callie being accused of Treason, and being threatened by vampire bounty hunters. It seems both sides are trying to stop Lucas & Callie's relationship- it's against both vampire and witch law for vampires and witches to be friends- let alone date. Witches and Vampires have been sworn enemies for thousands of years. Their forbidden romance can lead to death- but isn't the only threat lurking near by. Callie realizes not everything- including her very existance- is what it seems. 5⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Lars watched Daphne for years. Wanted her for months. Chased for her weeks. He slowly weaked her stubborn heart working his way into her life. He was suppose to be her forever. Until he found out he was going to become a father at eighteen. Daphne did the only thing she thought was right, breaking Lars' heart, and her own, only wanting the best for him, and his baby. Their forever was interrupted, chased away by one irreversible decision after another. Could Lars and Daphne find their way back to each other, or was their love story doomed from the start? 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Theo is an underdog. He has three older sisters, named after Theodore the chipmunk, a good guy, and is part of the school matching band. His roommate is none other than Troy - football royalty. All the girls want to get with him. But when Theo meets Laney, - they couldn't be more different - yet she is the girl that he wants. She is endgame for him. So what happens when Troy directs his attention her way? 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review
