Review: Dear Heart, I Miss You

Title: Dear Heart, I Miss You

Series: Silver Springs

Author: Eliah Greenwood

Release Date: July 2022

He walked away after I nearly lost my life.

Now he’s back, and he wants a second chance.

The day Finn left town is the day our promises went up in flames.

But it’s been a year since the accident, and I’ve made promises to somebody else…

I’m certain I’ve moved on. Until the night I unknowingly climb into bed with him.

The next thing I know, I’m right back where I started, watching my walls crumble under feelings I spent
ages trying to bury.

Finn may be different now—with new tattoos and new secrets—but his goals are the same.

He wants
me.

Whatever it takes.

Problem is, he's not the only one who's changed since that night.

And the sweet, forgiving girl I used to be?

She's not coming back.

This is book 2 of a completed duet!

Everything But You Duet (Finn & Dia)

Dear Heart, I Hate You (Book 1)
Dear Heart, I Miss You (Book 2)

So after reading Dear Heart, I Hate You I needed to read Dear Heart, I Miss You because I needed answers. I needed to know what happened with the characters and the ending of their story. And... I don't know what to think.

After the accident that nearly cost Dia her life, Finn just walked away. Disappeared for a year without a word. Dia moved on. Or so she thought. After accidently climbing into bed with Finn, her walls that she built begin to crumble, her will wavering. He may be different, but his goal is the same. He wants her back. The feelings she once had are still there buried under the anger and hurt. Can Dia forgive Finn or is their relationship dead in the water?

So, like I said, I don't know what to think, so bear with me while I try to work through everything.

Diamond may have changed after the accident that nearly cost her life. But in the end she does what she always does. Goes back to Finn. Forgives him.

Finn may have grown, and worked on bettering himself, but I liked him better when he was the toxic boy from before.

Their relationship was toxic from the start. Dia went back to Finn over & over again, regardless what he did. Lie, keep secrets, believing he cheated, being the reason she almost died again & again. Whatever he did she forgave him.

Overall the story was okay - it was filled with drama and angst. The story wrapped up nicely, and the characters got their HEA. And although this wasn't a favorite read, and I was annoyed at how easily Dia forgave Finn again, I did appreciate that despite the hell the characters have been through they got a HEA in the end.

3⭐ out of 5⭐.

Review: Dear Heart, I Hate You

Title: Dear Heart, I Hate You

Series: Silver Springs

Author: Eliah Greenwood

Release Date: February 2022

It all started with an ad.

"House sitter needed for the summer, free room and board."

Guess I missed the part about the cocky basketball player sleeping down the hall...

Finn Richards is hot, cruel, broken beyond repair. Oh, and did I mention hell-bent on making me quit?

Whatever. It's not like his charms work on me, anyway. I'm immune to his cold, hazel eyes, and I'm not even a little bit curious about what really happened that night.

Who cares that I let him take my first kiss?

Who cares that I'd give him all of my firsts if he just asked?

It's just two months. I can definitely go two months without giving him my heart, too...

Right?

So I finally decided to pick this book up after finishing book 1 back in April 2021. I needed something to keep me from falling into a slump and this sounded just right.

Dia agrees to house and dog sit for the Richards family over the summer, because she needed the money. What she doesn't expect is for Finn to end up home early because he got kicked out of basketball camp. Finn tries to do everything he can to get her to quit because he hates her. But she is more stubborn than he is, and isn't budging, otherwise she could kiss her chance of getting a car goodbye. But what happens when the lines between them blur?

So let me just say, enemies to lovers? Sign me up! I loved the drama - and wished the pranks between the characters lasted a bit longer than they did. I loved Finn in all his brokenness. - he may have been a delinquent bad boy to everyone but he was still hurting and grieving from his mother's death. And he wasn't as bad as he may have hoped to come off as. Dia was sweet and innocent - except she was one of the only ones who called Finn out on his crap & didn't take it either. This book was a whirlwind from start to finish & I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next for these characters.

Review: Dear Love, I Hate You

Title: Dear Love, I Hate You

Series: Easton Boys

Author: Eliah Greenwood

Release Date: March 12

It all started with an anonymous letter.

He wasn’t supposed to find it—no one was. And he definitely wasn’t supposed to answer it.

We end up talking through letters and sticky notes in a book. One sticky note. Two sticky notes. Ten sticky notes. All baring our darkest, deepest secrets.

It’s all fun and games until I find out who my pen pal is...

Xavier Emery. King of my basketball-obsessed town, my childhood bully, and the guy I am in grave danger of falling in love with.

But the rules were clear: we can never know who we’re talking to, and the confessions can never, ever get out. Seriously. It would destroy lives.

Fine by me. Even if Mr. Popular does find out his confidant is little old me, it’s not like he’d ever love me back…

Right?

Oh my goodness. Where do I begin with this book?!

So Aveena writes a letter that no one was suppose to see. But after a turn of events someone does see it. And worse they respond. Which starts a chain reaction, and secret pen pals, leaving notes for each other in the books of the library. What began as harmless ends up them spilling their secrets to each other- complete strangers who are choosing anonymity instead of revealing themselves. What started as notes passed back and forth, turns into texts to one another. They were never suppose to find out who each other were... Until Aveena does.

Xavier is the captain of the basketball team. Tall, handsome, popular, and the nicest guy to everyone. Everyone except Aveena. She never understood why. But he couldn't possibly be the one who is leaving notes for Aveena. Quiet, shy, invisible Aveena.

It seems that both of them are going through more then those around them know. The secrets they share can never get out, because it may ruin lives. But that's not the only danger... Aveena may be falling for her pen pal...

Seriously. I was in a bit of a book funk, not knowing what to read next, so I downloaded this book from KU in hopes to find something. And boy did I ever. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Enemies to lovers? (Which we all know is one of my favorites) Check.

Secret pen pals? Check

Teenage drama? Check

And town wide scandal! Check.

This book seemed to have it all. There was banter, secrets, drama, and angst. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to start this book last night, because I stayed up all night reading it. I got only an hour of sleep before my daughter woke me up for the day. And I'm not even sorry, nor do I regret it.

The bullying happened when they were kids- Aveena never had any clue why he did what he did, and never got a chance to ask him because he transfered schools. But now he's back, and doesn't seem to remember who she is.

I loved Aveena, and how she was trying to find herself. How she was trying to navigate her senior year. Going from being invisible to finally being seen.

Xavier was your typical popular athlete- or so Aveena thought. This year he seemed off, and with the confessions he confided into his own pal, it was no wonder why. But there was a side of him that Aveena never knew about.

I honestly couldn't put this book down. There may have been a couple scenes that could have been improved on, and some of the characters could have been developed a little bit more, but over all it was a solid read that I can't get off my mind. So if you enjoy teenage drama you definitely need this book. 4 angsty teenage ⭐ out of 5⭐.
