Review: Fake It Til You Break It

Title: Fake It Til You Break It
Author: Meagan Brandy
Release Date: February 5th

Fake.
That’s what we are.
That’s what we agreed to be.

I thought it would be harder, convincing everyone our school’s star receiver was mine and mine alone, but we played our parts well.

So well, the lines between us began to blur until they disappeared completely.

The thing about pretending, though, someone’s always better at it, and by the time I realized my mistake, there was no going back.

I fell for our lie.
And then everything fell apart.

It turned out, he and I were never playing the same game.

He didn’t have to break me to win.
But he did it anyway.

So if you guys didn't already know I was in a huge book funk. It was almost a chore to read since last September. I wasn't feeling it beside the occasional book. Well, this book here broke though. This book, this author... I loved it.

Nico and Demi started on a lie, a fake relationship for both to get something they wanted.
Thier relationship was fake. Demi wasn't sure people would believe that the star quarterback would want her, but they played their parts well, to the point that they started believing it themselves. Fake. That's all their relationship was. So why were the feelings starting to become real?

I absolutely LOVED this book.
Nico was the star quarterback at the high school, and Demi was the star dancer. Nico was moody, broody and keeps to himself.
Demi was talented, fun, and strong-willed.
They didn't really have anything in common. Except maybe that both had parts of their lives they didn't share with others. Both had something to gain from a fake relationship, and a little bit of fun. But what happens when their fake relationship isn't so fake anymore?

This book was filled with teenage angst and drama. It had me hooked from the beginning, and I didn't want to put it down. I loved every second of it. I fell in love with these characters- and not just Demi & Nico but all their friends as well. So if you're looking for your next fake relationship book, this is it! 5 Pixie ⭐s out of 5⭐s.

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

Reread: Broken Bonds

Title: Broken Bonds  Series: Bonds That Tie  Author: J Bree Release Date: June 2021 After the death of my mother and her Bonded, I was relieved to find my own Bonds. I was sure everything would be okay if I had them. It wasn’t. The fate of our people is in my hands and I know we’re better off if I’m alone. After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from. I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure. North, Nox, Gryphon, Atlas, and Gabe may never forgive me but one thing is for sure. I won’t ever forgive myself. *Broken Bonds is a full length reverse harem PNR novel with material that may be difficult for some readers. This book will end on a cliffhanger. It's recommended for 18+ due to language and sexual situations. Goodreads | Amazon   So I am rereading the Bonds that Tie series to read the newest release Broken Ties.
