Review: Break Me (reread)

Title: Break Me

Series: a Brayshaw series novel

Author: Meagan Brandy

Release Date: November 2020

I had a plan, and it was solid.

Track down what was hidden away and take pleasure in toying with it.

Toying with her.

That plan, it worked like a charm.

Until it didn’t.

Turned out, the feisty little thing I found was far from what I hoped for.

She was different from all I knew and more than I expected.

She was light, and I’m the bastard who led her into darkness.

But this girl... she followed with a smile.

I told her I break pretty things.

She asked me to promise.

So what can I say about Break Me that I haven't said last time I read it?

Well first, I have been in such a slump since finishing Say You Swear (also by Meagan Brandy). I have read a handful of books but couldn't get into anything. I was constantly distracted. My heart still with the SYS characters.

I picked up Break Me, & was flipping through the pages looking for a quote- but what ended up as just quickly flipping through, had me stopping & reading pages so I decided to read it from the beginning. To get back into Royce & Brielle's story, back into the Brayshaw world- both which I love.

And even though I knew how it all played out, it still brought the emotion.

Royce and Brielle's story was filled with drama, angst and emotion. And it was everything. - am I over SYS? No. No I am not. BUT I love Royce, & the Brayshaw's & everything about their world to not fall off the deep end and get completely lost in their stories.

5⭐ out of 5⭐.

Review: Bad Little Bride

Title: Bad Little Bride Series: Girls of Greyson Author: Meagan Brandy Release Date: January 7, 2025 Degradation of the Desperate Daughter. That could be the theme song to my life.  Always second choice. Second best. Second born. Maybe that’s what possessed me to track down my father’s most formidable enemy, the infamous Enzo Fikile. He’s the nation’s most eligible bachelor, and the crime world I was born into’s biggest threat, but not because he wants to tear it down.
