First, I've been in a major book slump lately. I've picked up probably 10 books and got only a few pages or 1 chapter in before getting distracted and losing interest. 😩😩 Nothing has been wrong with any of them, I just have no idea what I want to read.
Second, what is with all these babies? 😂😂
So my cat found mouse babies and brought them to me, I think to care for? One didn't make it (it wasn't looking too good when it was brought to me) and the other survived the day and night, we tried rehoming it because I have no idea how to care for a baby mouse that needs to eat every one to two hours! It didn't like the normal milk we have so I was at a loss.
Then, I found 3 baby starlings birds in our house. Once I finally caught all three, I brought them outside to the side of the house they got in from (but on the ground bc the nest - which we couldn't even see from outside - is up near the roof on the second floor somewhere). I tipped the box on its side to them them some shelter, but left them where their mom could find them (I did see a bird going back & forth to the box so I think the mom did).
But honestly, I don't know why animals think I'm a good fit to take care of their babies 😭😂😂 the mice didn't even have eyes yet and the birds couldn't fly yet 😂😂 I'm not equipped for that responsibility okayyyy 😂😂.
Also, I survived taking my daughter to the circus last night 🙌 I'm terrified of clowns, but my daughter wanted to go.
