The A-Z book tag

Hi guys! I hope you are enjoying your week, and this lovely fall weather we have been (finally) having.
For this month we are planning to possibly do a corn maze, a pumpkinferno, Halloween comic con, and of course, picking and decorating pumpkins and, trick or treating, because we absolutely love autumn (or at least i do). And my daughter has been asking every day for Halloween 🎃.
So i am hardly ever tagged for any of these book tags, but when i find one that interests me, i steal it to try myself, and this is no different- i stole this from Mud and stars blog.
Here is the A-Z book tag. I would love to read your answers, so be sure to tag me in your post when you do this challenge!

Author You’ve Read The Most Books From:
Probably Cassandra Clare- I've read all the shadowhunter books multiple times- i absolutely love the world.
Also, these candles are from fanwickscandles and I highly recommend them.I have loved all the candles I got from there! - you can use NatashaReads10 in her Etsy store to save 10% 😉

Best Sequel Ever:
acourtof
A Court of Mist and Fury, hands down! It blew the first one out of the water, and the third was great, but i don't think even touched the greatness of ACOMAF. I loved it. 😍 It means so much to me. I love more than just Rhysand, bc I also related so much to the book and what Feyre had been through. But of course Rhys made it to the top of my book boyfriend list. 😉

Currently Reading:

At the moment i am in between books. I will Probably be picking up Lisa Suzanne's a Little Like Destiny next.

Drink of Choice While Reading:
Ok so when i am reading, i can easily forget to drink or even eat anything. But tea or hot chocolate are great to drink while reading. (If i remember that is! 😂)

E–Reader or Physical Book?
I prefer physical books, but still love my kindle. It is great to read Arcs, or to gather free books on (you can check out a few of them in my freebies section of my blog!)

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Ok, since in high school i was reading a lot of Stephen king and john Grisha, I don't think I would enjoy dating those characters, 😂 I was quite different, and a bit of a loner in school- so dating the paranormal like Patch from Hush hush, or Damon from the Vampire diaries wouldn't have been so far fetched! 😉😂😂

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

The Harry Potter series. Seriously, I waited basically the full 20 years to pick this book up. Because of the huge hype around it, I didn't want to touch it despite everyone telling me to read it. It may have taken 20 years, before I read it, but I am gladci finally gave it a chance!

Hidden Gem Book:
Basically, there are quite a few indie authors, and not so well-known books that I've had the chance to read since starting bookstagram and I am so glad i did. A few include:
Brooke Cumberland- Bad Girlfriend
Kennedy Fox- Checkmate Duet Series
Corinne Michaels- We Own Tonight
Autumn Jones Lake- Bullets and Bonfires
Halie Fewkes- Secrets of the Tally
Meg Kassel- Black Bird of the Gallows
Alyssa Thiessen- Infusion
Logan Chance- Playboy
Amanda Aksel- Lingerie on the Floor
A.L Jackson- A Stone in the Sea
Emily Goodwin- Bad Things
Celia Aaron- Nate
J. Daniels- Where I Belong

Important Moment in your Reading Life:
Uhm... Well i always loved reading, even as a kid (and Where's Spot was all the rage). But after middle school, my reading took a wrong turn, and i skipped right over young adult books (mind you, it wasn't as big or well known as it is now). But after I graduated high school, i found a few YA books & I devoured them. From Fallen series by Lauren Kate, and, you guessed it, Twilight by Stephanie Meyers, I fell back in love with reading.

Just Finished:
Sparrow by LJ Shen. I didn't love it as much as the crazy hot holes of the Sinners of Saint series by LJ, but it was still a great book none-the-less!

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I don't read non-fiction.
Also won't touch horror/thrillers much anymore. I am a mom to a toddler, i need my sleep, and horror books will keep me awake for a week after I read them.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Uhh one that comes to mind is Breaking Dawn. I am sure I've read longer (some of the Cassandra Clare books, & ACOTAR books are pretty long too- along with Stephen King books... I don't feel like figuring out which was actually the longest)

Major Book Hangover Because Of:
giphy (10)
Sometimes if i push myself to read book after book after book, without giving me time to breathe in between i can hit a book hangover (like right now actually... But to be fair i over booked for arcs & was trying to read them all, keep up with my normal life, & just stay afloat, 😂😂)

Number of Bookcases You Own:
Right now, only 1 for my books the second has my daughters books, my Batman shelf, my fiance's books & recipe books etc. But soon, i will have me my own library! And i cannot wait!

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
There are so many, haha. I will say twilight.

Preferred Place To Read:
Right now, my bed- but we don't have a sofa, or my window seat that will be in my library just yet so i read where i gotta.

Quote That Inspires You/Gives You All The Feels From A Book You’ve Read:

"There are good days and hard days for me- even now. Don't let the hard days win." From ACOMAF by Sarah J Maas.

Reading Regret:
Uhm sometimes i regret that it takes me so long to finally read a book, or that I didn't like a book that had a huge hype around it. Or when I don't read a story or three or ten to my daughter some nights.

Series You Started And Need To Finish:

Ok don't hate me. I need to read Catching Epics by Halie Fewkes, and Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab. I loved both of the first books, but just haven't started either book 2 yet.

Three Of Your All-Time Favourite Books:
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
giphy (11)
Damon Salvatore, Supernatural, Rhysand & ACOMAF, & Malec- I love Magnus & Alex's relationship. Ok, so there are probably many more (like Disney, Batman, superheroes & villains... Etc) when I fall in love with something, I fall- HARD, haha.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Of course I am excited for the third book of the Dark Artifices and the Last Hours by Cassandra Clare. And cannot wait for more from the ACTOAR world.

Worst Bookish Habit:
anigif_enhanced-buzz-15818-1376582777-0
Buying books & not reading them right off. Or judging the book by their cover (i can't help it- its what you see first). Or staying up until 3 in the morning, just to be awake by 7 bc I just HAVE TO KNOW WHST HAPPENS NEXT- which usually means i have to finish the book (& sometimes end up frustrated & have to start the next one if it ends in a cliff hanger)

X Marks The Spot: Start At The Top Left Of Your Shelf And Pick The 27th Book:
Well my shelves are double rowed- so do I pick the 27th (which is the back row of my first shelf) or the 27 (just counting the front rows?)
It will either be Captive by A.D. Robertson or We Own Tonight by Corinne Michaels depending on how I count them out.

Your Latest Book Purchase:

Huh, I haven't actually bought books in a while. I've been getting some free, whether physical copies, or ebooks... Its been a little while since i bought a book. I won a copy of the Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Knight recently.

ZZZ-Snatcher Book (The Last Book That Kept You Up WAY Late):

Like i said, I stay up late reading all the time even when i shouldn't. It was probably one of LJ Shen's books that kept me awake last.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? I’d love to know what you thought of them! 🙂

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

Weekly Newsletter - June 27

So this past weekend my aunt passed away.  But on a more positive note, this was my daughter's last week of school. She had half days all week and now she is home for summer break until after Labor Day in September.  And I finished up two books. We started rewatching Dexter, and watching season two of Perfect Match.  What I Read This Week:  Title: Leather & Lark Series: The Ruinous Love trilogy Author: Brynne Weaver   Release Date: June 04 So I love these characters, but this story had a lot of fluff, and at the end felt a little rushed. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here .  Title: Lights Out  Author: Navessa Allen   Rereleases August 06, 2024  I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Weekly Newsletter - June 13

As my daughter's school year is winding down, they are trying to cram more things in it - from chorus concerts, to a play, to fun days, and field trips and parties... So it's been a bit hectic.  Also, last Thursday went to run errands before my daughter's chorus concert, & to grab Leather & Lark from Walmart (live in a small town. Walmart is the only place to buy books locally). And they were completely sold out 😭 So I ordered it online (Amazon "2 day shipping" still takes a week 😒). Plus I got a book last week - only UPS left it in a puddle. 😭 We were all home. Could have knocked or even honked or SOMETHING - but no. So also waiting on the replacement for that was well.  Also, I tried to convince my husband we needed to go to B&N in NYC (which is like 7 hours south of us give or take 😂😂) to meet Brynne Weaver to no success.  Annnddd... I tried the challenge of getting my husband to buy my wishlist for me for likes on social media... He wouldn...
