Book Tag: the Grinch book tag

So i did promise two book tags today. Of course the first tag was full of holiday cheer- it was the Christmas Tag & you can find it Here. This tag is the Grinch Book Tag- since i usually am not full of holiday cheer- and lets face it more of a Grinch this time of year, i thought this tag would be perfect!

I found this book tag Here on Stephanie's blog, and thought I would give it a-go.

So here we go!

Half of the lights on the Christmas tree are burnt out : Name a book/series/character that started out good but then went downhill

Hmm. I am unsure. Usually for me its the other way around where it takes me awhile to get into a book (or where I just struggle through most of the whole thing). Sometimes it picks up towards the end, but usually not enough for me. I will say Hinder by Kristin Ping. The idea was promising, but i didn't care for the book itself. 

Annoying Great Aunt Sally who will not leave you alone : Name a book that you didn’t enjoy, but everyone else seems to love so it never goes away

There are a couple. Ok, so don't hate me here but Miss Pergrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Me Before You, & Carnage. I just wasn't that into them, but they all seem like very popular books! 

Your pets keep knocking over the Christmas decoration : Name a character that kept messing things up for everyone else (can’t pick a villain!)

Uhh I really have no idea. Maybe Katnis Everdeen from the Hungar Games. I know in the end it was good & for the best- but during it was a mess (ok, so most of that was the Villains behind it, but i couldn't pick the villains ok!) 

Oh, I know Tamlin or Lucian, or what's-her-face from a Court of Thorns and Roses. They caused loads of problems. And i didn't care for any of them. 

You hear your parents putting out the presents and learn Santa isn’t real: Name a book you were spoiled for

Well, i mean, Harry Potter. I DID just read it this past year (Yeap, waited 20 years to read it). Most of the time, i try to avoid spoilers if i can help it. 

It’s freezing outside: Name a main character you just couldn’t connect with

Uh, I am going to say Elena from the Vampire Diaries. The first couple books i just couldn't connect with her character. I mean, she was rich, spouled, got everything she ever wanted (besides her parents), everyone just wanted to be her friend, all the guys wanted to be with her... She was a bitch & just so fucking annoying. I couldn't really get into her character until after she died. I know that sounds bad but come on. Basically I only read the books bc I loved the show & for Damon Salvatore. 

Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and it’s giving you anti-romantic feelings : Name a couple you couldn’t stand

I don't know. Maybe Stefan & Elena? Or Jacob & Bella? Or the 2 from Hinder mentioned above... Or Tamlin & Feyre. Or an Abundance of Katherines or Paper Towns... Ok, i guess there was a few, haha. 

That scratchy homemade wool sweater you got for Christmas years ago but won’t get rid of : show some books that have been sitting on your shelves for a while, and you aren’t motivated to read, but you don’t have the heart to get rid of

Well i went on a buying spree a couple years ago- but haven't really read any of the books yet, including Shatter Me, Thorne of Glass, Red Queen, Snow Like Ashes, The Maze Runner, 5th Wave, the Book Thief, & All the Light We Cannot See... Maybe i will get to them some day- but its not today. 

 Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer: Name a character death you still are mad about (warn people for spoilers! You can also use TV or movie deaths)

There are a few... Sooo SPOILER ALERT! 

The first was Damon's death, then Fred, & Hedwig, & even Dobby. Plus there was Livvy... I am still not ok after that one. I thought Max was bad but Livvy killed me ok. I mean, i can probably go on... There are so many... 

The malls are overly crowded with holiday shoppers: Name a series that has too many books in it/went on too long

 Uhh I don't know? Maybe Game of Thrones or something i haven't started yet. When its already super long it intimidates me. 

The Grinch : Name a main character you HATE (No villians again!)

Can I say Elena again? Because i don't know. Usually I love at least one main character in a book... Or can I use like Nesta from ACOTAR? (I know she isn't main, but becomes more a part of book 3). I still didn't care for her... Or Tamlin or Lucian (also from ACOTAR) I really dunno who else to use here.
