Review: the Four Horsemen

Title: the Four Horsemen

Series: Servite Academy for Troubled Teens

Author: Bellamy Roswell

Release Date: December 21st

Blurb:

“THE FUCKING KINGS OF THE FUCKED-UP APOCALYPSE WE CALL LIFE. THEY ARE THE FOUR HORSEMEN.”

SCARLETT

Naïveté – lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment.
I was foolish to once believe I knew the truth about this world and those who inhabit it.
Naïve Really.
But the events to come, would make me question everything I though I knew. My life thus far had been a never-ending nightmare, or so I had thought.
And then I met them.
The Horsemen.
Four highly influential, egotistical, and sardonic men who live for power and thrive on the following of others. Vultures roaming the weak and looking forward to their demise. Causing their demise.
And he stands front and center, like the true king he is.
Ace Fucking Servite.
I hate everything he stands for. I hate all of those around him.
So why can’t I get myself to hate him?
ACE
We follow orders, we conquer, defeat, and capture. We govern, torture, and kill if need be. We're the horsemen of the Apocalypse.
We were created to rid the earth, our town and those surrounding it of its sinners. There is no good left in us.
But then there she was.
An Angel with the mouth of a Devil.
A Devil with the eyes of an Angel.
A Dream come to life.
A Nightmare I don't want to wake up from.
Blurring the line between heaven and hell can be dangerous for someone on either side.
But what happens when in reality hell is a place on Earth, and heaven is in her arms?

The Four Horsemen rule Servite Academy with an iron fist. No one has ever stood up to or questioned their authority. Until the poor kids from the next town over join ranks. Scarlet and her friends aren't like most students. They don't blindly follow orders and get in line, but Ace and the other horsemen can't figure them out. Why are they really at the school? But the longer Ace spends with Scarlet, the more she gets under his skin. Both are keeping secrets and searching for answers, will they find what they are seeking?

Honestly, I love a good bully high school romance. This title, cover, and blurb dragged me in. And I wanted more. Scarlet and her friends grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in the group home, until they were taken away to join Servite Academy- a school for rich entitled students in a gated community. Only the best and richest get in. So why were they chosen?

Ace and the horsemen are rulers of the school, their parents rulers of the town. But there is more to them then just money, and looks. So when Ace has his eyes set on Scarlet, her and her group home friends better watch out.

I enjoyed the back and forth and push and pull between Scarlet and Ace. The banter, and sexual tension. And learning more about the characters who aren't all what they seem. If you are looking for a good high school bully romance to end off the year then this book is worth the read. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.
