Book tag: Readers Problems

Hello everyone! I found a tag that sounded fun to do! I came across it on Sarah's blog and you can find her answers here or check out her blog here
Without further ado, here is the Readers Problems tag!

Q1: You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?I am a mood reader. First i choose which genre appeals to my mood, then choose a book out of those genres. Although i can end up with lots of book slumps and its hard for me to get out of sometimes.
Q2: You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
I hate when i don't finish a book, but i also hate when I am not loving a book & trying to force my way through. sometimes i will put a book down & come back to it at a later date to try again. Bc maybe I just wasn't in the mood or life or whatever. Other times, I don't.
Q3: The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try and catch up and how?Not really. I mean, my goodreads challenges are 20 books a year, and am always so happy when i pass that amount (I'm a little over 60 right now). But i don't want to have an amount and stress over trying to make it (i stress out enough, don't need books to add to it!)
Q4: The covers of a series do. not. match. How do you cope?
Yeah, that sometimes bothers me- a lot. But there isn't much i could do about it.
Q5: Everyone and their mother loves a book you don’t really like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?
Meh, there are books i didn't care for that others loved, but didn't see the need to bond with others over it.
Q6: You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?I honestly don't care. I am an emotional reader. If a book pulls emotion out of me- whether making me laugh out loud, or cry, well, more power to it!
Q7:  A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?I will reread the book. I have no problems rereading books- especially if i love them! Sometimes i read so fast that i don't pick up all the details so when I reread it, its almost like reading for the first time bc there's stuff I missed or didn't remember from the first time.
Q8: You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?I used to let people borrow them. But if get them returned damaged, or YEARS, yes YEARS later. So its a no from now on. Im not a public library.
Q9: Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?I have that problem a lot. Sometimes i reread a favorite. Sometimes I just don't worry about it & do something else with my time (I do like to color/draw, & i like to write) & sometimes that helps me with my slumps.
Q10:  There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
I hardly ever have the money to buy books. But i make a list of books i want so if i get the chance i buy them (sometimes just the ebook, bc they are cheaper)
I also enter giveaways for books, & gift cards, & fill out for Arcs which can be a big help!
Q11: After you’ve bought the books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?Haha. I went on a huge book haul 2 years ago & most of those are still sitting on my shelf unread. Don't get me wrong, I love books. I read tons when i can. But, like I said I am a mood reader so sometimes the books will sit untouched for a long time before i get to it. Other times I read them the moment they are in my hands.

This tag was so much fun - I hope you enjoyed learning about my reading problems! If you want to join in, then feel free to do the tag and tag me to let me know what your answers are!
Happy Reading,
Natasha
