Book Tag: July Wrap Up

Every month i was planning on doing a monthly wrap up, and recap the books i read for the month, along with my top reads. My top reads for June were Traitor by Alyson Santos, Chasing Him by Kennedy Fox and Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa.
Seriously, I loved them all. (You can find my full recap Here).
In July l I read a total of 11 books.

The first book I finished was Beast: a Tale of Love and Revenge by Lisa Jensen . The cover intrigued me, and I love Beauty and the Beast so I had to pick this book up. It was an interesting read and a different take on Beauty and the Beast. 3⭐ out of 5 ⭐. After a slow start & quite a few triggers, it picks up a little & has more potential but in the end it wasn't enough to redeem it. Review

I then read Clean Start by Shannon Shade which is book 3 in the Violent Circle series where there is never a dull moment. This book also brought more emotion as well, and I absolutely loved this book, and this series. If you haven't read the Violent Circle books yet, you seriously need to pick them up! These books are always funny and are great reads! 4.5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

No One But Us by Elizabeth O'Roark was my next read and I don't know why it took me so long to pick up one of her books. It was a sister's best friend book - where Ellie and James trys to ignore their feelings for each other, and  filled with secrets, scandals and drama. Once I picked this book up, I couldn't put it down. 4.5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

I then decided to reread Broken by Ellie Messe because I loved it so much the first time around. I still loved it and it was still such an amazing emotional gripping read. 5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

Then I Read Young Love by Alyson Santos. This book was emotional on so many levels. I connected with Sienna and fell in love with Jace.  I felt everything they each went through. It was such an amazing read. I loved how Sienna was able to find herself after everything. If you are looking for a forbidden romance with more than just the taboo- filled with emotion and meaning then definitely pick up this book. 5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

After I started Four Day Fling by Emma Hart. This book was funny, light, fun, flirty and the perfect summer time read. It was loaded with sarcasm, sex, and a whole lot of awkward and crazy moments that a huge family get together can bring. It was such a great read- once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. If you are looking for a light, fluffy, rom-com then I definitely recommend this book. I loved the characters, the story, and all the awkward crazy moments that were thrown into the mix. 5⭐ out of 5⭐.Review

I then read Mafia and his Angel part 1 by Lylah James. It does have some trigger topics- but overall the story was interesting and I did want to know what happened next. 4⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

I DNF Mafia and his Angel part 2 at 52 percent. Not because it was bad or anything, but it was dragging out, and I was waiting for something to happen (what can I say, I'm impatient)- and I had an arc that was due that I couldn't put off.

I then read Someone Else's Ocean by Kate Stewart and loved it! Honestly I picked up this book and could scarcely put it down. It was so emotional, and I loved how much this book made me feel. I was captivated by Koti & Ian's story. 5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

Then I reread Crowned With Guilt by S.K. Rose. God. I absolutely love this book. Even the second time around my emotions are running wild. I love the characters. I love this story. And I cannot wait for more. And like the first time I read this book I was immediately drawn in from the beginning and went through a whirlwind of emotions. I still absolutely loved & with the characters. This book is still flipping amazing. And I still messaged the author to yell at her despite knowing the outcome. Still 5 mind blowing ⭐ out of 5⭐ Review

Then I started Confessions of a Klutz by Abigail Davies while waiting for my next arc. I loved this book. I devoured it in hours. If you are looking for a rom-com then pick up this book. I loved how relatable Violet was- being a Klutz myself, who trips over nothing all the time, I was glad to see I wasn't alone. Quick, funny read perfect for the summer. 4⭐ out of 5⭐. Review

And lastly I read End Game book two in the Dawson Family Series by Emily Goodwin. After finishing Cheat Codes I wanted more. More Archer, more Quinn, more of the baby, and more family drama. Just more everything. And End Game delivered. I fell in love with Archer and Quinn's story, and wanted to know how it played out since the first page of Cheat Codes. It was such a sweet story, and emotional journey, and I loved every bit of it, and cannot wait to read more from the Dawson Family Series-because two books just wasn't enough. 5⭐ out of 5⭐. Review
I finished it at Midnight this morning, but am totally pushing it as a July read!
