Review: Call of Night

Call of Night
Thorne Hill Series
By Emily Goodwin

Blurb:
True love never dies.
Not even when those around me are trying to kill it. With vampire bounty hunters still out for me, having the Grand Coven accuse me of treason against witches is the last thing I need. No one should tell me who I can and cannot love.
Determined not to let anyone or anything get in our way, Lucas and I decide to lay low for a while and let everything blow over with my coven while Lucas hunts for the vampires who tried to kidnap me. But things, of course, don’t go according to plan, and when I stumble upon an ancient evil force hiding out in the underground of Chicago, we realize our forbidden romance is the least of our worries.
As we search for a way to defeat unbeatable odds, I start to discover that things aren’t what they seem…including my very existence.

Review:

I don't even know where to begin with this book- but I definitely needed it. It is book 3 in the Thorne Hill series and YES you do need to read book 1 & 2 first.

This book follows Callie- who is a powerful witch - immediately after the events of book 2, of Callie being accused of Treason, and being threatened by vampire bounty hunters. It seems both sides are trying to stop Lucas & Callie's relationship- it's against both vampire and witch law for vampires and witches to be friends- let alone date. Witches and Vampires have been sworn enemies for thousands of years. Their forbidden romance can lead to death- but isn't the only threat lurking near by. Callie realizes not everything- including her very existance- is what it seems.

I LOVED this book! I loved coming back to Thorne Hill and down right adore these characters! I read this book in one sitting and still want- and need more! I cannot wait to find out what happens next with these characters and in this story. Coming back to Thorne Hill and these beloved characters is like coming home. Callie is a badass witch, and Lucas is a ancient vampire- and it seems they have more threats closing in on every side of them then even they know what to do with. But even with all the threats- nothing will get between Callie and Lucas. Not the vampires, witches or even demons. But this threat may be bigger than all three. I loved every minute of this book, these characters and this story! And cannot wait for more! 5 amazing ⭐ out of 5⭐.

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

Reread: Broken Bonds

Title: Broken Bonds  Series: Bonds That Tie  Author: J Bree Release Date: June 2021 After the death of my mother and her Bonded, I was relieved to find my own Bonds. I was sure everything would be okay if I had them. It wasn’t. The fate of our people is in my hands and I know we’re better off if I’m alone. After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from. I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure. North, Nox, Gryphon, Atlas, and Gabe may never forgive me but one thing is for sure. I won’t ever forgive myself. *Broken Bonds is a full length reverse harem PNR novel with material that may be difficult for some readers. This book will end on a cliffhanger. It's recommended for 18+ due to language and sexual situations. Goodreads | Amazon   So I am rereading the Bonds that Tie series to read the newest release Broken Ties.
