Favorite Reads of 2017

So, the year is winding down, and I thought i would participate in a favorite reads if 2017 post. 2017 was filled with so many great reads, but these books really stood out to me (they are not in any particular order).

Favorite Reads:

A Court Of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. It didn't live up to book 2, but it was still an amazing read & ended the trilogy nicely.

The Checkmate Duet Series & My Week With The Bad Boy by Kennedy Fox. All were amazing- Travis being my favorite book boyfriend from the group, & Courtney &Drew being my favorite couple. But Ethan's story was so touching- I loved it. I loved them all.

Secrets of the Tally & Catching Epics by Halie Fewkes. If you are looking for a great YA book with adventure, & magic then this is it. She may be an indie author but these books were amazing.

For Rom-coms I really loved Lingerie on the Floor by Amanda Aksel, Scarlet Toys by SM Shade, & You've Got Fail by Celia Aaron. Seriously, these books made me laugh & i really enjoyed them!

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. I read it in May and i am still reeling from that ending (I sobbed, & i was frustrated- I love books that can pull emotion from me). I soo am looking forward to the release of book 3... Still a year to go...

Tear jerker- Bad Girlfriend by Brooke Cumberland. This book made me cry... But i absolutely loved it!

Darker reads include Nate by Celia Aaron, Broken by Ellie Messe, and the Top Shelf series by Alta Hensley (Bastards & Whiskey, and Villains & Vodka). All were great reads that kept me on the end He of my seat. Broken was Ellie's debut novel and you guys have to read it. I loved it!

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab. I love stories about monsters and villains and this was no different.

Black Birds of the Gallows by Meg Kassel. Such an amazing YA book by an indie author. Perfect for a fall read!

One Call Away by Emily Goodwin. I love Emily's books, and this is no different.

Rockstar Romances- I loved A.L Jackson's A Stone in the Sea, & Drowning to Breathe, and Lyra Parish's Ace: a Band of Brothers books for rock star romances.

Sinners of Saint Series by LJ Shen. I loved them all- and Vicious is mine. Haha.

Drive by Kate Stewart. If there is ever a book you have to read this is it! I love how the music ties in. God, i loved this book!

And that's it. Seriously, I loved all these books & would recommend checking them out if you haven't already!!

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

So this past weekend my aunt passed away.  But on a more positive note, this was my daughter's last week of school. She had half days all week and now she is home for summer break until after Labor Day in September.  And I finished up two books. We started rewatching Dexter, and watching season two of Perfect Match.  What I Read This Week:  Title: Leather & Lark Series: The Ruinous Love trilogy Author: Brynne Weaver   Release Date: June 04 So I love these characters, but this story had a lot of fluff, and at the end felt a little rushed. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here .  Title: Lights Out  Author: Navessa Allen   Rereleases August 06, 2024  I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was fun, and sexy and a great, quick read. 4.5 ⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here What I Watched This Week:  What I Listened To This Week:  Weekly Meme:    Recent Releases  | Upcoming Releases  |  Freebies Title:...

Weekly Newsletter - June 13

As my daughter's school year is winding down, they are trying to cram more things in it - from chorus concerts, to a play, to fun days, and field trips and parties... So it's been a bit hectic.  Also, last Thursday went to run errands before my daughter's chorus concert, & to grab Leather & Lark from Walmart (live in a small town. Walmart is the only place to buy books locally). And they were completely sold out 😭 So I ordered it online (Amazon "2 day shipping" still takes a week 😒). Plus I got a book last week - only UPS left it in a puddle. 😭 We were all home. Could have knocked or even honked or SOMETHING - but no. So also waiting on the replacement for that was well.  Also, I tried to convince my husband we needed to go to B&N in NYC (which is like 7 hours south of us give or take 😂😂) to meet Brynne Weaver to no success.  Annnddd... I tried the challenge of getting my husband to buy my wishlist for me for likes on social media... He wouldn...
