Review: The Kiss Thief

Title: the Kiss Thief
Author: LJ Shen
Release Date: January 9
Blurb:

They say your first kiss should be earned.

Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.

They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.

Mine were broken before we left church.

They say your heart only beats for one man.

Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.

I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.

Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.

I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.

One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.

And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

Review:

"Ours is not a love story."
The Kiss Thief follows nineteen year old Francesca, who grew up in a sheltered Italian household. Including arranged marriage. She expected being wed to her childhood bestfriend, Angelo. Until Wolfe Keaton stole her first kiss.
Angelo knew that he had to stay in Francesca's father's good graces if he wanted a chance at a date with his daughter, and a chance to gain her hand in marriage, what he didn't expect was someone else to beat him to her father.
Wolfe always had plans to ruin Francesca's father's life. What he didn't expect was Francesca herself. He stole a kiss. Then stole her away to be his future wife.
Three lives so entwined together with love, hate, lust, secrets and lies. This isn't a love story. It's a story of power and revenge.
As with all of LJ Shen's stories, she writes the most delicious and tantilizing men. Men who are powerful, and ruthless. And strong women who can bring these men down to their very knees. And she makes me fall in love with both main characters, over and over again. Once I start one of her stories I don't want to put it down until I reach those two little words - the end - and even then, she leaves me wanting more, and more, and more. If you love any of LJ Shen's previous works, or if she is a new to you author, I highly recommend you pick up this book. You won't regret it. Her books are always so raw, and powerful, and full of emotion, and this one is no different. 5 beautiful Chicago night ⭐'s out of 5⭐.
