Don’t cry, little girl. Daddy will forgive you.
The job was meant to be impossible, even for the Cavalieri Della Morte. Kill Adelmo Lange, the reclusive crime boss who murdered my brother.
Until her. Adelmo's daughter.
Branwen has taken a vow of silence to atone for her sins, but I don’t need her to say a word. She’s the bait that’s going to draw my target out.
Now she’s going to swear another vow. A vow of obedience. To me.
Together, we’re going to take down her father. If she does exactly what I tell her, she may even escape with her life.
Do as daddy says.
VOW OF OBEDIENCE is a standalone novella of 30,000 words and part of the CAVALIERI DELLA MORTE SERIES.
Review:
Geraint works for Arthur, the leader of the Cavalieri Della Morte. He's a killer. An assaissin. But when a girl literally runs into his arms, he can't just abandon her on the streets, in the middle of the night. He brings her to a near by church. A few months later, he is set on avenging his brothers murder at the hands of Adelmo Lange. But needs a way to draw him out... And finds out the unknown girl from months past is his daughter Branwen. He steals her away from the church, to take her across the country planning to use her as bait. She was just supposed to be a means to an end, until she made a vow of obedience to Geraint.
Vow of Obedience was the first book I have read of Brianna Hale's. It was set in the Cavalieri Della Morte world. It was fast paced, and a little bit dark. Geraint is a assassin, and he's out to avenge his brothers death. And even though he steals Branwen away- a girl who took a vow of silence- in the Dead of night- she doesn't scream out, or make a scene. She complies to just about everything he says, even if it means her being dragged back to the very place she ran from. It was an interesting read. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.
