Book Blitz & Review: Cheesy On The Eyes

Title: Cheesy On The Eyes
Series: Slice series
Author: Teagan Hunter
Release Date: June 4th

Dating is hard. Dating in a small town? Impossible.

Leave it to my little brother to come back home announcing he knocked up his fiancée and the wedding has been moved…to next month.

When he tries to set me up with one of his football buddies, I tell him I’ll be bringing my own plus-one.

Only problem? I’m hopelessly single.

Enter Sullivan Scott, AKA my hero.

We strike a deal: he’ll pretend to be my boyfriend, and I’ll use my mechanic skills to help him fix his boat. That’s it. No funny business, and definitely no feelings involved.

Sully’s quiet and reserved, and I’ve been told I’m too much to handle on a good day. We’re opposites, and neither of us is looking for anything serious.

I’m certain we can keep this strictly platonic…

So if you don't already know, I love books that makes me L-O-L! And Teagan Hunter? Yeah, she writes amazing romcoms and if you haven't already checked them out then what in the ever-loving-goats are you waiting for?
Cheesy on the Eyes is a stand alone, BUT it's best to read the slice series in order.
Dating is Hard. Thea knows that all to well. Add in small-town dating, and its near impossible. But when her brother returns back to town, and has moved his wedding up- to next month Thea has to think quick so she doesn't wind up being set up by one of his football buddies. Even though she is hopelessly single, she claims she is bringing her own plus one. That's where Sullivan comes in. They strike a deal. He pretends to be her boyfriend leading up to the wedding so she doesn't have to fly solo, and she will help fix up his boat. That's all it is. No funny business, and no feelings. He's quiet, and reserved, she can be too much at times, total opposites, and neither is looking for anything serious. So it should be easy to keep things strictly platonic... right?
I have been waiting for Sully's story since the first Slice series book came out. He was so quiet, and reserved, and had such a mystery about him, I just knew I had to know more. And Teagan didn't disappoint. There was way more to Sully then what we seen in previous books, and I loved every minute of it!
And Thea was fun, funny, sassy, and honest. She was amazing, and relatable, and I loved their relationship. They were opposites in many ways, but they fit together so perfectly. If you love fake-romances that turn into something more, and small town romantic comedies that make you L-O-L then you definitely need to pick up Cheesy on the Eyes! 4.5 lovable and cheesy ⭐'s out of 5 ⭐.

“You’re a mechanic, right?”
“No, I just look smokin’ hot in coveralls.”
She’s not wrong.
She does look hot.
Like stupid hot.
As in “I’m pretty sure I should stop looking at her body unless I want my dick to start standing at attention” kind of hot.
“My boat could use some TLC, and I have my hands full with other repairs. I wouldn’t complain about some help with the engine.”
“So, you want free labor? Which I normally charge a pretty penny for?”
“Essentially, yes.”
“That’s all?” she probes, and I nod. “And you’ll pretend to be my boyfriend for the wedding and leading up to it?”
“Yep.”
“Even after meeting my family?”
“Yeah,” I reiterate.
She tilts her head. “This is too easy…I don’t trust it.”
“Well, you should, because I’m being serious. I’ll pretend to be your boyfriend or whatever you need if you help me with my boat.”

After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from. I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure.
