Review: Laces

Title: Laces

Series: Boys of Hawthorne Asylum

Author: Tempi Lark

Release Date: January 31

Welcome to Hawthorne Asylum.

Welcome to hell.

This place isn’t run by the doctors who make you talk or the orderlies who force you to swallow your pills.

It belongs to them, to the Infamous Four.

Tabloids, talk shows, documentaries—their faces have been plastered everywhere. Not because of their impressive rap sheets, but because of how they look.

And when I arrive, they take notice. Especially their king: Lincoln “Laces” Caster.

He’s dark and disturbed.

He’s controlling and possessive.

The exact kind of boy I should stay away from if I want to clear my name and get out of here.

* This is an upper-YA bully romance not intended for readers under seventeen. This book may contain triggers for some readers.

Gambrielle arrived at Hawthorne Asylum. A place not run by the doctors, or orderlies but by the infmous four. The legends that were plastered on documentaries and talk shows, and tabloids.

All she wanted to do was keep her head down, until she could get out on good behavior.

But they noticed her upon her arrival. Especially their leader- the one running the place- Laces Caster. He is dark, disturbed, controlling and possessive. Exactly the type of guy Gambrielle should stay away from... If only it was that easy.

Oh my!!!

This book. It was unlike anything I have read before. But it left me wanting more. I wanted to dive deeper into the characters, and know every little thing about them, and find out more about the story that was unfurling and taking place. I love me a good bully romance, and this wasn't any different.

Gambrielle was a sweet southern Belle, who was dropped off at the asylum in hopes of being out of sight, out of mind, and out of the way. She didn't belong. But no one believed her.

Laces was disturbed, with his greusome drawings. He was controlling, running what went on in the asylum. And was possessive, and now had his eyes set on the new girl. They didn't exactly see eye to eye.

But they made an unlikely pair. And I cannot wait to see how the story unfolds. 4 ⭐ out of 5⭐.
