Title: Bury Me Before You Go
Series: Pandemonium series
Author: LC Lehesaho
Release Date: October 2021
Cierra Cera
My visit to Preston was supposed to last three days - go to my father's funeral, look devastated, and fly back home without a backward glance.
I would've nailed it, but the two-headed dragon, aka my mother, had different plans. Now I'm stuck in a city run by satan's spawns while my dear mother plots to steal the throne. That's the shitshow I have no intentions of getting a ticket to, so I need a getaway plan and quick.
When Quentin Valentino, the son of my mother's nemesis, walks into my life like a gift from God, I don't think twice. Everyone has dirt under their carpet, and all I need is a little dust of the Valentino's, and this girl books her ticket far, far away.
Only if this gorgeous package wrapped in an Armani suit would've come from Heaven...
No matter what Blue Öyster Cult says - you damn should be scared of the Reaper.
It will not only take your soul, but it will also try to steal your heart while sharpening the scythe.

BMBYG is for a mature audience only and contains explicit scenes. Also, some parts might be triggering (dub-con, non-con, drug use, abuse, etc.), so proceed with caution.
This is the first book in the PANDEMONIUM series, BUT it doesn't end on a cliffhanger and can be read as a standalone. The series will continue with other characters.
So Bury Me Before You Go was the first book I have read by this author. I went in with zero expectations, and really love her covers for her books.
BMBYG follows Cierra - new to town, after her father's funeral her mom forces her to move in. But the town isn't what it seems. All Cierra wants to do is get away from the town which she is forced to call home.
When Quentin walks into her life, she realizes he just may be the ticket out of the place. Quentin is the son of Ceirra's mom's nemesis & may just have enough dirt that she could use to spring for freedom.
But what Cierra didn't expect was the complicated feelings that came along with it. There is no way she is falling for the enemy right?
So this is the first book I read by LC. I loved the cover, and the idea behind it. But... I didn't love the book. It was an ok read, and great to pass the time but sometimes I felt a little lost. Sometimes the story didn't seem to flow well, and sometimes the characters had too many analogies. I was easily distracted by other things instead of fully immersed into the story.
That being said, it wasn't bad. I did like the idea of it. I liked Quentin enough- I felt like maybe he wasn't as mature as he should have been given the situation but he was also still fairly young (23). I am intrigued by some of the side characters though (Cruz. If you don't know, I always like the darkest, most messed up or broken guy and Cruz definitely piqued my interest), and may possibly pick up their books in the future.
I did want to see where the story ended up. And although it wasn't my favorite read I did enjoy it. It does have some dark themes & trigger Warnings (sexual abuse, dub-con/non-con, drug use, violence/death) so it's worth knowing before diving in. 3.5 ⭐ out of 5⭐.
