Review: Glove Save

Title: Glove Save

Series: Carolina Comets series

Author: Teagan Hunter

Release Date: February 23

I’ve been told I’m the grumpiest goalie in the league, and that may be the case, but who cares when I’m also killing it this season? The Carolina Comets are currently on a record-breaking run, and I intend to keep it that way.

This means the last thing I need is distractions, but my mother didn’t get that memo. She’s getting married, and after the fiasco I caused at her last wedding, I’m required to bring a date.

That would be easy, except for one little thing: I don’t date.

So why is the only person I want to take a single mom who can’t stand me?

We’re a horrible match, and it makes no sense that I’d be into her. But the more time we spend together, the more it’s starting to look like this might be one game I can’t win.

GLOVE SAVE is a standalone hockey romcom. There's a grumpy goalie who likes to argue with a ten-year-old, a single mom, lots of fun banter, and STEAM galore!

Ah you guys.

So January has been a crazy & stressful month in between birthdays & everything going on, I didn't get much reading in.

But when Glove Save hit my kindle- I dropped the book I was in the middle of to pick it up.

I love the Carolina Comets world & this was no different.

The Comets are on a record breaking run, so Greer doesn't need distractions. Not with the woman who can't stand him, or her ten year old. But when his mom wants him to bring a date to her wedding, Greer can't think of anyone else.

So what happens when the grumpy goalie meets his match in a single-mon and her ten year old daughter?

This book is funny, has the great banter between characters & is steamy & I loved every second of it. It was the perfect read to cosy up with, Teagan is one of my favorite romcom authors & I definitely recommend it to those who love hockey romances & romcoms.

5⭐ out of 5⭐. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the Carolina Comets series!

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

So this past weekend my aunt passed away.  But on a more positive note, this was my daughter's last week of school. We started rewatching Dexter, and watching season two of Perfect Match.  What I Read This Week:  Title: Leather & Lark Series: The Ruinous Love trilogy Author: Brynne Weaver   Release Date: June 04 So I love these characters, but this story had a lot of fluff, and at the end felt a little rushed. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here .  Title: Lights Out  Author: Navessa Allen   Rereleases August 06, 2024  I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Weekly Newsletter - June 13

As my daughter's school year is winding down, they are trying to cram more things in it - from chorus concerts, to a play, to fun days, and field trips and parties... So it's been a bit hectic.  Also, last Thursday went to run errands before my daughter's chorus concert, & to grab Leather & Lark from Walmart (live in a small town. Walmart is the only place to buy books locally). And they were completely sold out 😭 So I ordered it online (Amazon "2 day shipping" still takes a week 😒). Plus I got a book last week - only UPS left it in a puddle. 😭 We were all home. Could have knocked or even honked or SOMETHING - but no. So also waiting on the replacement for that was well.  Also, I tried to convince my husband we needed to go to B&N in NYC (which is like 7 hours south of us give or take 😂😂) to meet Brynne Weaver to no success.  Annnddd... I tried the challenge of getting my husband to buy my wishlist for me for likes on social media... He wouldn...
