Hi guys!
I seen this book tag a little while back, & it looked like fun. So even though i wasn't tagged, I decided to do it anyways!
This tag was created by booktuber Jay G @ The Awkward Bookworm. & I had seen it on Pucksandpaperbacks blog.
Now onto the fun!
January (GARNET): Associated with warding off negative forces and dark energies - Name a book with the darkest/evilest character you can think of.
This one is my birthstone. Love the dark red color.
Amarantha from ACOTAR. Seriously. I hated her, probably more than i have ever hated a character before.
February (AMETHYST): Purple is associated with royalty - Name a book with regal qualities... You can base this off of characters of choose the King of all books
I am gonna say Nikolai from the Grisha Trilogy for royalty.
March (AQUAMARINE): Washed out - Name a 'wishy washy' character, a character who is not strong or a follower
I am going to say Bella from Twilight for this one. Don't get me wrong, twilight series is a guilty pleasure of mine, but Bella isn't the best role-model.
April (DIAMOND): A diamond in the rough - Name a book that you loved but is not well known
There are a few different ones perfect for this.
Secrets of the Tally by Halie Fewkes.
Angelfall trilogy by Susan Ee.
Checkmate Duet series by Kennedy Fox.
My Week with the Bad Boy by Brooke Cumberland & Lyra Parish.
Secrets of the Saints series by LJ Shen
Bleeding stars series by AL Jackson.
Drive by Kate Stewart.
Nate by Celia Aaron.
Are just a few that you should definitely check out!
May (EMERALD): Said to balance energy - Name two characters who balance each other well
Rhysand & Feyre from a Court of Mist and Fury.
June (PEARL): Associated with loyalty - Name a character who is loyal to the end
Uhh I am going to say... Will Herondale. My favorite character, from my favorite trilogies!
July (RUBY): Blood red - Name a book that made your blood boil, one that made you angry
So, I wouldn't consider July a blood red color. Its a lighter red. But ok. Also, i don't know if there is a book that really pissed me off, but there was a character. Tamlin in ACOMAF. Seriously. I am not going to give too much away, just in case you didn't read the book yet, but ugh. He pissed me off so much in ACOMAF.
August (PERIDOT): Pale green (it pales in comparison to other gems) - Name a supporting character who you like better than the main character
Uhh. I don't know. I tend to love characters that I learn the most about. Oh I love Vicious he has his own book, but I love his supporting roles in the other Sinners of Saints books as well!
September (SAPPHIRE): Blue like the ocean which is calming - Name a book that had a calming affect on you
Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Calming? No. I don't know the meaning of the word. I am an emotional reader.
October (OPAL): Iridescent - Name an iridescent book, this can be a book with a beautiful cover (Shiny? Lots of colour?) or you can base it off of a character (Quirky? Colourful?)
The mortal instruments series has so many colors on the covers.
November (TOPAZ): Associated with resilience - Name a books with a character who rises to the top in a time of adversity
Hmm.. Maybe August from This Savage Song. He is viewed as a monster- only because of what he is "born" as.
December (BLUE ZIRCON): Associated with friendship - Name a book with a friendship you want to be apart of
Basically any. I love Simon Lewis as a friend. Also Kaz from six of Crows, Ronan from The Raven Boys. You get the idea, haha.
That was a lot of fun.
If you participate, don't forget to tag me so i can see your answers! 😉
Question:
What is your birthstone?
Happy reading,
Natasha
