Food for thought: Taco Salad

So, I love foods that I can make my own. Most meals I make, i find a recipe for, and we try it out. Then from there, I will sometimes change it so it is ours. One of my favorites is Taco Salad.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
Taco seasoning + water
Doritos or Fritos
Any toppings (lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes, beans, salsa, olives, sour cream, Catalina dressing, chopped onions, or minced garlic, etc)

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef. Drain excess grease. 
  2. I sometimes cook in some chili or kidney beans, or minced garlic, or chopped onions etc. 
  3. Add in taco seasoning + water by directions. 
  4. Serve with chips & toppings of your choice. 
And that's it. Its super easy! We sometimes have a side of rice to go with. Its a great meal for people to customize their own. Its super easy, and quick to make.
