Review: Chasing Him

Title: Chasing Him
Series: a Bishop Brothers Novel
Author: Kennedy Fox
Blurb:

Chasing Him is a full-length 110k+ words standalone novel that’s filled with angst, sexual tension, and plenty of forbidden temptation! Let Kennedy Fox take you to the South for a hot, captivating adventure that’ll surely leave your Kindles on fire!
John Bishop isn’t your typical single dad.
Reserved, impatient, and utterly clueless.
Running the family’s bed and breakfast has many perks. Working long hours, picking up after the guests, and hearing couples going at it all night long aren’t any of them. Hooking up with girls who come to the ranch for horseback riding lessons? Best perk of them all.
That is until a baby shows up at his doorstep with a note claiming it’s his. Growing up on a ranch was anything but easy, but raising a newborn is proving to be the hardest task he’ll ever tackle. Leaving the bachelor life behind, his only priority is to hire a nanny who can teach him a thing or two about parenting — except he doesn’t anticipate her being gorgeous and quirky with an unhealthy football obsession.
Mila Carmichael has many talents — making balloon animals, creating origami art, and remaining in the friend zone. Often seen as one of the guys, she’s struck out more times than a rookie baseball player.
Seeking a new adventure, she flies to Texas to visit family and is offered a position she can’t refuse. Helping out a new dad should come easy to her, considering her past experience, but what she doesn’t anticipate is him being an attractive Southern temptation.
But that’s only the beginning.
While growing close to his family and falling madly in love with the baby girl who’s stealing their hearts, things are bound to get complicated. Everyone knows not to mix business with pleasure. That means no late movie nights, no stolen glances, and definitely no kissing behind closed doors. Too bad the universe has other plans — one that’ll threaten taking away the main thing that binds them together.

Review:

As with any Kennedy Fox book- I fell in love with all the characters, and the story.
Chasing him follows John Bishop- who is a brother to Evan, Alex, and Courtney and twin to Jackson. Where Jackson is wild, John is more mature. John runs the B & B at their family owned and operated ranch.
And one day he gets a surprise of his life- a baby on the B&B porch with a note that says she is his. Now with his whole world rocked on it's axis- the Bishop family comes together to help.
Mila Charmichiel is a Georgia girl, who is in love with a boy who doesn't see it. When he drops surprising news, she decides it's time to visit her grandparents in Texas for a few weeks and get away, while waiting for the phone call to her dream job.
While visiting her grandparents, Mrs. Bishop asks if she can help out as a Nanny for John since he's too stubborn to ask himself.
No one said being a parent was easy-going and John is learning just how tough it can be on his own. When he finally agreed to a trial run for Mila to be a Nanny- their will powers will be put to the test. Can they keep their relationship as strictly professional?
Honestly I couldn't wait to jump into John Bishop's book! I have been waiting for it since the way Needing Him ended and am so glad I finally got the answers I was looking for!! I fell in love with John, his Baby, and Mila's story. The chemistry and build up, the push and pull, the forbiddenness of it. And I loved all the Bishops in this book as well-being we see more from each of the Bishops (Courtney, Alex, Evan, Jackson, & their parents plus significant others). I loved that despite John's baby sending a shock to the whole Bishop family how they came together as one big loving family and supported him when he needed it most. You will find out more about this cute bundle of joy- along with who the mother is, and more in this story. And now I am desperately waiting for Keeping Him- Jackson's story, and the conclusion to the Bishop Brothers novels.
4.5⭐ out of 5⭐.
