Review:
Julep is the daughter of Sham Foley and half owner of Shamrocks the boxing gym with her brother Danny. She grew up in the world of boxing, even able to box herself. When her gym is in need of producing the next champion to stay afloat, she finds Mateo.
Mateo, the bad boy. A disgraced boxer who was once at his prime, but his mistakes costed him his boxing career. So when Julep offers a second chance he knows he can't blow it. But what happens when his past comes back to haunt him?
I really enjoyed this story from Alta Hensley. It wasn't as dark as some of her other work, but was still a great read, taking place in the world of boxing. 4⭐ out of 5⭐. It was a great read, and I felt for, and feel in love with Mateo. And Julep was such a strong independent character.
