Book Tag: Halloween Book Tag

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! So when I seen this tag over at Thrice Reads of course I had to give it a go, especially with Halloween being tomorrow!

Carving pumpkins: What book would you carve up and light on fire?

Honestly none. 😂 I've had books that just wasn't for me, but I would carve them up or light them on fire even if I didn't care for them. But for the sake of this tag I am going to say Welcome to Night Vale.

Trick or treat: What character is a treat, what character is a trick?

Treat: Andrew from Crowned With Guilt by S.K. Rose
Trick: Tamlin from A Court Of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas.

Candy corn: What book is always sweet?

Honestly I don't like candy corn and don't think it's sweet at all, haha. But again for this book tag I am going to say Teagan Hunter's Text Series, Let's Get Textual, I Wanna Text You Up, and Can't Text This. I seriously love them!

Ghosts: What character would you love to visit you as a ghost?

Any character that I have fallen in love with. I would love to get to know them more. And if they are anything like Casper and drop that cute "Can I keep you?" *Swoon* haha.

Dressing up in costume: What character would you want to be for a day?

This question is always hard for me to answer because I never think that I could personally survive the worlds that I love reading about. Maybe a Shadowhunters since it's the best of bothworlds- fantasy and mordern. Or a part of the ACOTAR world.

Favorite scary must-read for Halloween

I don't read scary stories much anymore. I have such an over active imagination that I can't sleep for a week or more afterwards- and as a mom to a toddler, I need some sleep 😂😂
Maybe This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

If you could find anything, from any book, in your trick or treat stash, what would you hope to find?

Maybe something to give me magical powers.

In what fictional world would you like to go trick or treating?

Maybe ACOTAR. I would love to see a holiday like Halloween celebrated there, and some of the character's take on it.

What book villain would you not like to meet alone in a dark alley on Halloween?

So many, haha. Anyone that was just plain crazy is a big no. That unpredictability may end up being more scary then someone you can predict from.

Would you rather dress up as a vampire, zombie, werewolf, or a Shadowhunter?

Vampire or Shadowhunter.

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

I love almost everything. Give me all the chocolate, the gummies, the sour candies haha.

I want to know, what is your favorite kind of Halloween candy? Let me know in the comments below!

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

Weekly Newsletter - June 27

So this past weekend my aunt passed away.  But on a more positive note, this was my daughter's last week of school. She had half days all week and now she is home for summer break until after Labor Day in September.  And I finished up two books. We started rewatching Dexter, and watching season two of Perfect Match.  What I Read This Week:  Title: Leather & Lark Series: The Ruinous Love trilogy Author: Brynne Weaver   Release Date: June 04 So I love these characters, but this story had a lot of fluff, and at the end felt a little rushed. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here .  Title: Lights Out  Author: Navessa Allen   Rereleases August 06, 2024  I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was fun, and sexy and a great, quick read. 4.5 ⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here What I Watched This Week:  What I Listened To This Week:  Weekly Meme:    Recent Releases  | Upcoming Releases  |  Freebies Title:...

Weekly Newsletter - June 13

As my daughter's school year is winding down, they are trying to cram more things in it - from chorus concerts, to a play, to fun days, and field trips and parties... So it's been a bit hectic.  Also, last Thursday went to run errands before my daughter's chorus concert, & to grab Leather & Lark from Walmart (live in a small town. Walmart is the only place to buy books locally). And they were completely sold out 😭 So I ordered it online (Amazon "2 day shipping" still takes a week 😒). Plus I got a book last week - only UPS left it in a puddle. 😭 We were all home. Could have knocked or even honked or SOMETHING - but no. So also waiting on the replacement for that was well.  Also, I tried to convince my husband we needed to go to B&N in NYC (which is like 7 hours south of us give or take 😂😂) to meet Brynne Weaver to no success.  Annnddd... I tried the challenge of getting my husband to buy my wishlist for me for likes on social media... He wouldn...
