Baby Yours by Kennedy Fox
The worst day of my life happened when Brandon died.
We had our entire future mapped out.
Careers, marriage, kids—in that order.
Then the universe threw a curveball and ended it all.
As I come to terms with everything, I learn I’m carrying his baby. Now I’m living with his roommate, the guy who’s made my life a living hell the past two years. Hunter’s now the one to hold me up when all I want to do is fall.
Knowing my religious parents will never accept the pregnancy out of wedlock, Hunter offers to be my fake husband. While I think he’s gone crazy, it’s the only plan that’ll keep them in my life. So I do whatever it takes to make our relationship believable—kissing, touching, even letting him hold me when we sleep. The lines are so blurred neither of us want to admit we’re no longer pretending.
The guilt of what we’re doing eats me alive as I struggle to deal with my emotions. I push him away, but he pulls me closer, showing me how he’s always felt.
Just as I begin to follow my heart, I learn Hunter’s been keeping secrets.
And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life…
**This is book 2 in the Hunter & Lennon duet and must be read after Baby Mine. Recommended for ages 18+**
Review:
Baby Yours picks up right where Baby Mine leaves off, so you MUST read Baby Mine first!
Brandon's sudden death was hard on both Lennon and Hunter. Lennon and Brandon had their whole lives mapped out, from career's, marriage and even kids. Hunter, who has been nothing but a jerk to her since she started dating Brandon, is the one person who can lift her up, and hold her together when all she wants to do is break. So when it comes time to visit her strict parents, with a surprise pregnancy out of wedlock- Hunter offers to be her fake husband. With the lines of their friendship blurring, and guilt of everything they are doing eating away at them, can they keep up the ruse, and keep their feelings at bay?
I loved Hunter and Lennon's story so much. It was an emotional slow burn, and definitely unconventional, but was oh so good! Lennon is strong, and resilient, pregnant with Brandon's baby, and strick parents. She doesn't know what to make of Hunter's plan, but willing to go along with it so her parents don't turn their back on her. Hunter is sweet, and patient, and completely different from how he was in the beginning. They were enemies turned friends turned lovers. But there are still a few secrets and drama to get through first before they can have their happily ever after, but will the secrets mean the end of their relationship before it even has a chance to reach it's full potential? I love this book, and cannot wait to see what the Kennedy Fox duo has in store for us next!
4.5⭐ out of 5⭐
