Title: The Rebel of Raleigh High
Series: Raleigh Rebels series
By Callie Hart

Silver
Hit me.

Kick me.

Hurt me.

Hate me.
There’s nothing that the students of Raleigh High can do to Silver Parisi anymore. Over the past year, she’s had to endure more pain and suffering than most people are asked to bear in their lifetimes. She’s a pariah, an outcast, a ghost. She’s also never been one to take shit lying down, though…despite what half the football team might say.
With only one hundred and sixty-eight days left of the school year, it won’t be long until graduation, and Silver’s planning on skipping town and leaving Raleigh firmly in her rearview mirror…
Until he comes along…
Alex
Orphan.

Degenerate.

Reprobate.

Deviant.

Alex Moretti’s earned most of his labels, and he’s not ashamed of a single one of them. He’ll earn far worse before he’s finished with his new found ‘friends’ at Raleigh High. Having spent years being ground down under the boot heel of society, it’s time for a little payback. And if exacting revenge upon the heads of the Raleigh elite means he can also help the beautiful girl who hovers in the shadows, then that’s all for the better.
Oil and water. Fire and ice. The differences between Silver and Alex are broader than any chasm. To reach one another, they must take a leap of faith and fall into the divide.
And falling?
Nothing good ever came from falling.

Review:

Where do I even begin with this book?

Silver was bullied at her school. After a night nine months ago, that she would do anything to forget her whole high school turned against her. Once one of the most popular girls in school, now an outcast she is just counting down the days until she can graduate and get the hell out of there. Until Alex shows up. She first sees him in the hallway with a social worker and police officer talking to the principal. Tattoos, motorcycle, everything about him screams trouble. Silver is like a ghost at her own school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't see Alex. They may be as different as oil and water, but they must take a leap of faith with one another. But after everything they have both been through, can they let the other one in?

This book. This book right here. I felt for Silver- for what she has been through. No one should have to go through that, and most importantly not alone. And for Alex. Even though his life was so different, I felt for him too, and everything he's been through. And then again, what they went through together at the school. This book was more than just a bully story. More than just a normal story about teens in high school. This book, these characters, this author has dealt with not just one or two hard subjects, but multiple subjects that may trigger the readers. There is rape and sexual assault, suicide, abuse, and a school shooting. It delivers on the triggers. So be warned when picking up this book. But it was mostly dealt with in sensitive manner. Yes there is violence and hatred throughout the book, but that isn't what it's about. It's about the strength and resilience of these characters. Yes they may have been beaten, knocked down, bullied, raped, and hated BUT they still got up every single day. They were brave, and strong and dealt with everything accordingly. It brings the emotions to the forefront making you feel for the characters. Grief with them. Empathize with them. The only thing I had any issue with in this book was the insta-love/insta connection between Silver and Alex. They hardly said anything to each other then, they were dating, and then in love right off. - I could understand insta-lust the want for one another but to immediately be in love with them? Overall it was an amazing read! 4⭐ out of 5⭐
