There's more to my brother's murder than I realised...
Shadows in the halls, mysteries lurking around every corner.
Whoever killed him is covering their tracks well.
And now I'm walking a dangerous line between getting close to the four kings for information and wanting to crawl deeper under their skin for my own desires.
I can't trust anyone.
I can't let my guard down.
And I must keep the urges of my body separate from my heart.
But I'm starting to break all of my own rules.
I just hope I'm not falling for my brother's killer.
Oh my wow! This is Book 2 in the Ruthless Boys of The Zodiac series and follows the events of book 1. (The must be read in order to follow along!)
Elise Callisto is deep in her investigation of her brothers murder, but it seems the further she gets the more questions are raised. But there is more going on at Aurora Academy then Elise originally knew of, causing her to wonder what she stumbled upon when enrolling.
But she still is pressing ever closer to the four Kings of the school.
Gabriel Nox, the harpy with two elemental powers, is hiding something and lying to Elise about it, but she can't stop the draw she had for him, even if she tried.
Leon Night the lion shifter, who is from the best theives of the city, but he has a darkness that he hides well with his chrisma and laid back attitude.
Dante Oscura the storm dragon shifter, and alpha of one of the top gangs in the city.
Ryder Draconis a Basilisk and alpha of the opposing gang in the city.
All of them too suspects in Elise's quest to find her brothers killer, but the closer she gets to them to try and find answers, the more she wants to let her gaurd down and cave to her own desires. She just hopes she isn't falling for her brothers killer.
I seriously love these books. I am still trying to piece together all the clues right along side Elise, and don't know what to think of each of the characters, but I'm falling for each in turn. These books have been keeping me on the edge of my seat with the mystery, suspense, the paranormal and danger the adventure lust and slow burning romance, and leave me wanting more. More of the characters. Finding out more about each of them. More of the story and where it is going. And find out who did it, and why. I'm invested, and these characters have ensnared me, digging their claws in, demanding all of me. And I can't wait to jump into book 3. 5 star-crossed ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.
