Review: Club 22

Title: Club 22

Series: Hades

Author: Tate James

Release Date: June 2021

Club 22 is the THIRD in a new Shadow Grove series. Several characters cross over to the Madison Kate series but it is not necessary to read MK's story first. HADES is a contemporary new adult reverse harem series, which means the leading lady has several love interests and never has to choose in order to find her HEA.

◆◆◆

They say to keep your enemies close and mine are all around me. At the heart of it are four dangerously gorgeous men. The man who wants to light my darkness and already paid the price for loving me. The man who can handle my power and loves every dark inch of me. The man who has been my closest companion and now threatens to upend our carefully balanced world in pursuit of me.

But the fourth man is probably the most terrifying. He wants to take the others away. He wants to tear the spinal column out my empire. Destroy my businesses. Destroy me.

Why?

Because the man who should have stayed dead wants me and he will stop at nothing until he’s carved out my bloody, beating heart and left me broken.

He should remember who he’s dealing with…I’m not the girl he knew anymore.

I’m Hades.

This time when death comes for him, I’ll make sure it sticks.

Oh. My. Goodness. I am at a loss for words. I just can't handle the ending of Club 22 & cannot wait to jump into Timber!
Club 22 takes place after Anarchy & you must read the Hades books in order to understand what is going on.
They say to keep your enemies close, which isn't a problem for Hades, since her enemies surround her. But at the heart of it all, there are four dangerous men. The one who can light her darkness, the one who has already paid for loving her, her closest companion, and one who should have stayed dead instead of coming back to haunt Hades with the past and torment her with mind games.
Hades not only has to navigate her relationships with three men, but deal with her persisting ex and all the trouble he's caused since reappearing back in her life.
But above all, guard her heart, and herself, because there will be secrets dug up that could damage more than just Hades reputation and businesses.
I'm still trying to push through a wicked book slump so this book took me a bit longer to get through then I would have liked, but otherwise I definitely loved it. I loved the darkness, the angst, the sex, and the suspense. I am dying to get answers, and find out what the heck is happening in Shadow Grove & finish up this series! It's been one crazy wild ride from the start and I can't wait to see how everything plays out and ends after everything that went on in this third book! Seriously, I am currently in a state of WTF right now, and I need answers! 4.5⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

Weekly Newsletter: February 2

Hope everyone has a good couple weeks. I know it says weekly Newsletter & I know I have been taking two weeks each time to put out one 😂😂 I *want* it to be every week, but January is just super crazy over here. - but we'll see once things settle down some if it will stay every other week or if I switch to every week or not 😂😂.  This week, I got my preorder of Onyx Storm in (bday present), and we did my daughter's 10th bday party- she did bowling & invited a ton of friends! She also had a field trip to go skiing earlier in the week too which she liked.  Also here are the vibes I bring to the function but truthfully I probably won't go to the function - I am an introvert & don't people very well 😂😂 but it was a fun challenge to do on IG & TT either way. Do we share anything in common?  What I Read This Week:  Title: Onyx Storm  Series: The Empyrean  Author: Rebecca Yarros Review | Goodreads | Purchase Quote: “I am yours and you ...

So this past weekend my aunt passed away.  But on a more positive note, this was my daughter's last week of school. She had half days all week and now she is home for summer break until after Labor Day in September.  And I finished up two books. We started rewatching Dexter, and watching season two of Perfect Match.  What I Read This Week:  Title: Leather & Lark Series: The Ruinous Love trilogy Author: Brynne Weaver   Release Date: June 04 So I love these characters, but this story had a lot of fluff, and at the end felt a little rushed. 4⭐ out of 5⭐.  See Full Review Here .  Title: Lights Out  Author: Navessa Allen   Rereleases August 06, 2024  I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Weekly Newsletter - June 13

As my daughter's school year is winding down, they are trying to cram more things in it - from chorus concerts, to a play, to fun days, and field trips and parties... So it's been a bit hectic.  Also, last Thursday went to run errands before my daughter's chorus concert, & to grab Leather & Lark from Walmart (live in a small town. Walmart is the only place to buy books locally). And they were completely sold out 😭 So I ordered it online (Amazon "2 day shipping" still takes a week 😒). Plus I got a book last week - only UPS left it in a puddle. 😭 We were all home. Could have knocked or even honked or SOMETHING - but no. So also waiting on the replacement for that was well.  Also, I tried to convince my husband we needed to go to B&N in NYC (which is like 7 hours south of us give or take 😂😂) to meet Brynne Weaver to no success.  Annnddd... I tried the challenge of getting my husband to buy my wishlist for me for likes on social media... He wouldn...
