I figured I would start 2019 off with the same reading goals as last year. I have two goals. The first being, 20 books. This is my minimum goal what I feel like I can accomplish even if life or something gets in the way. Then, when I hit 20 and everything over- it feels like an accomplishment. My other goal is around 100 books. Two years ago I think I hit 98 or 99 books and couldn't count the last book I started towards the goal since I finished in the new year. Last year I hit 101 or 102 I think. Even if I don't hit 100 I will still be happy to try and get close to said goal.
So, onto January's wrap up!
In January I read a total of 07 books.
I started 2019 off with The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, which pulled me out of a massive book funk. It was a wonderous and magical fearie fantasy adventure and I cannot wait to find out what happens next in the Wicked King.

I then jumped into the Kiss Thief by LJ Shen. I am always so in love with LJ's stories, and characters- and this was no different. I couldn't put this book down and it left me wanting more.

I then immediately jumped into Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy. I fell in love with each of the characters, and of course couldn't put this book down. I need to know more about the characters and am dying for book two.

Then it was a little while before I picked up my next read which was Only the Negatives by Elle Thorpe. It was my first book by Elle, and it was such a emotional, and good read & I enjoyed it.

After I finished, I jumped in to Lass by Harloe Rae. I have loved & enjoyed all of the bittersweetheat novels so far and this one was no different. It was great to see these two opposites attract.

Then I went from a sweet romance to dark with Traces of Her by CM Radcliff. This was the first book by C.M. Radcliff that I have read. It was dark and twisted, and you never knew what was going to happen next. I was drawn in by the cover, and the blurb, immediately wanting more.

And I rounded out January with Beasts and Bourbon a top shelf series book by Alta Hensley. It was dark, and twisted with a splash of taboo. I have read the Top Shelf series from the beginning and loved every minute of it, and this book was no different.

January was filled with so many great releases, and I added a ton of new books to my TBR as well.
Some of those books include the Wicked King by Holly Black, King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo, and Falling for the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox among so many others.
So let me know, what was one of your favorite reads of January 2019?
